Saanich Physio & Sports Clinic
A special focus on rehabilitation and therapy for athletes of all ages. Our team includes road runners, mountain runners, triathletes, ultra runners, soccer players, and cross fit athletes. We offer Therapeutic Massage with a focus on providing treatment as a complimentary practice to our other therapies.

Our therapists are able to provide intra-muscular stimulation (IMS) to help with musculoskeletal of neuropathic pain. Scott is absolutely phenomenal, within 24hours I was pain free and walking properly after a very painful hip injury. Can not recommend him and their delightful team enough! I feel so much gratitude for landing at Saanichton Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic after an injury last year.
Services
Physiotherapists diagnose, manage, and treat disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system including rehabilitation after orthopedic surgery. This specialty of physical therapy is most often found in the out-patient clinical setting.

Orthopedic therapists are trained in the treatment of post-operative orthopedic procedures, fractures, acute sports injuries, arthritis, sprains, strains, back and neck pain, spinal conditions, and amputations.Joint and spine mobilization/manipulation, ultrasound, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, hot/cold packs, and electrical stimulation are modalities often used to expedite recovery in the orthopedic setting.
Our therapists can provide you with a broad range of treatments in order to get you back up and running (or walking!), with a focused and structured diagnostic approach and therapy plan. Physiotherapists use many tools to provide integrated and effective treatment including manual therapy, joint mobilization or manipulation, corrective exercise, postural retraining or other physical treatments.
Sports Physiotherapy is a specialization which deals with injuries and issues related to athletics. Our team will help you recover & rehabilitate. We will provide education and resources to prevent recurring injuries. Several of us have competed at an elite level and continue to challenge ourselves and our own bodies.
Massage therapy is a complementary treatment to physiotherapy, sports therapy, and rehabilitation as a complete musculoskeletal care strategy. We are proud to offer Registered Massage Therapy at Saanich Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic. Our focus is on providing Registered Massage Therapy as a complimentary practice to Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Manual Therapy and Acupuncture- with complete musculoskeletal care.
Our team can provide complete orthotics fitment and bracing solutions for knee, elbow and other joint or mobilization needs. Control, guide, limit and/or immobilize an extremity, joint or body segment for a particular reason. To otherwise correct the shape and/or function of the body, to provide easier movement capability or reduce pain.

One visit with Esme for probably a sciatic problem. Was able to get an appointment within a couple of days and there was no wait. Esme identified the problem and after a treatment, she gave me some exercises to do and after a week it's all good.

Saanich Physio is the best clinic I have been to! The therapists really care about their patients, and everyone is so friendly and inviting. I love that they direct bill for their clients because most places don't do that and that is a huge plus!. If you need a massage, they offer that service as well. I highly recommend :)

Two appointments in early 2020 (March), supposed to be 80% covered by my insurance. I paid the 20% at the end of the appt. Just now, April 30, 2021, 14 months later, they send me an invoice saying, "sorry, insurance didn't cover, please pay up". Total surprise: no prior notice of this. Too late to make a followup insurance claim. Even if… insurance didn't pay up, could have claimed it as a medical expense on 2020 taxes -- too late by a week because I already submitted and am not going to request a reassessment. So... will I EVER go back to these people? Not a chance. Isn't going to happen

Msybr try a place interested in your business. If you miss an appt, they will full charge your benefit plan. Really disappointing. I only get six visits a year. Now I only get 5. They won't be at this clinic.

After an ultra runner friend’s referral, I’ve been seeing physio Sandra Hardy for treatment after a bike and car accident, and she’s been outstanding with her intuitive knowledge of the human body and integration with the nervous system relating to biomechanics.
I feel supported, safe, cared for and welcomed by the staff who always try to accommodate appointment requests. Highly recommend this clinic and Sandra if you’re looking for a phenomenal and gifted practitioner.

Saanichton Physiotherapy & Sports Clinic is decent, but we mainly go here only when we can't get away for a weekend in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, or Indian Wells.
The prices here are a tad high for the facility and massages, most of the massage therapists are not extremely experienced. The turn over is pretty high. According to some of the therapists their cut of the $105 for 50 mins. is not much at all.
Anyway, this particular location feels a little claustrophobic, there is absolutely no privacy unless you are in a shower stall.
The quiet room has several reclining chairs that look like they

After a lower back injury, Kieran was able to teach me exercises that not only provided me immediate relief, but helped to strengthen my core to prevent something like this from happening again. As the routines allowed me to rebuild my strength, he adapted the exercises to keep me from stagnating.
Kieran listens to your observations and needs as a patient and works from his expertise with you to find the best treatment for you, the individual. He is also very gentle when manual therapy is applied as well.
Unlike other professionals who just hook you up to a machine and watch the clock go, Kieran

I feel so much gratitude for landing at Saanichton Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic after an injury last year. What a great team they have. When my adult daughter, who lives out of town, and has suffered from some foot issues for 6 years was in town last week, I asked her to humour me, and go see Scott. She rolled her eyes a bit, and reluctantly… appeased me, to some great success. Scott figured it out, which many (doctors and physios) in the past 6 years had not and gave her some ideas about how to manage the issue. I just phoned her to see how it's going and she sounded happy and relieved
