Nasty food.
Edit after their reply: I don't care about a vaccine mandate, that's a weird assumption to make. Your unprofessionalism is showing. I said nasty food because RCR caters nasty food. And to your previous reply that you deleted, what kind of business calls someone that leaves a review a troll? Seriously what is wrong with you people?

6pm weeknight visit: Had the burger and fries on recommendation of a friend. LOVED it...esp the cheese sauce, and perfect fries. The new section dividers make it a cosier place. BIG improvement for me since last visit several years ago was the lower noise - Music - level. Took an older client there for lunch that 2nd last visit and could not hear ourselves talk,.

I used to love this place but recent visit was not great. Service was incredibly slow, taking about 30 minutes before we got drinks. Food took a while to arrive as well and was kinda average especially given the high price.

Tiny, overpriced portions of cheese on the charcuterie board. Very salty fettuccine, ossobucco was chewy. Meh.

It's not that the food was really bad - just average, and that for the price I was expecting so much better in terms of quality and service.

I can see why this place can be hit or miss. We had a large group of 16 so need to be transparent on that before reviewing. The atmosphere is the best thing about this place for me. The service was not great considering we were one of only 2 tables at 5:00 on a Friday evening. Very slow, no bread served until after our apps arrived. Server was not very friendly but that's totally situational and its not an easy job when you are in a bad mood (I speak from experience). My biggest pet peeve is that it is WAY OVERPRICED for what you get. The concept of creative fine dining is there but

A little expensive to earn the full 5 stars. Would give 4.5 if possible. Very good food with reasonably sized portions for the cost.

A date night brought us here. I have had a drink here after work once with colleagues before but had never really experienced it beyond that.

The drink menu is fairly vast. The beer selection is decent but the prices are a tad high if I'm honest.

The service is great - professional and friendly.

We split the tuna and steak tartares to split. Both were decent though the tuna seemed to have too much tomato while the steak didn't have enough yolk and it was separated from the steak from some reason. Half the advantage to putting it directly on the steak before it's served is so that

Amazing meal, Brian (Bryan)? Was AMAZING and had excellent recommendations, he really made the experience stellar for us. The frites were amazing and the purple monarch was delicious.

The food is very good and the service is phenomenal. Usually this would mean 5 stars but considering the price, portion sizes and other options in Halifax at a similar price point, this is more like a three if comparing to let's say The bicycle thief. The cheese plate for example contains 3 very small pieces that didn't seem to match the price for this starter. I would definitely return because it is a beautiful environment, impeccable service and good food, but I couldn't recommend it as a first, second or even third option in Halifax at this price.
The Pot de creme (sp?) is divine

Highly overpriced. You can't call a charcuterie plate 1 meat and 1 small pate portion, the same way you can't call a cheese plate something that has 2 plane size portions of cheese. Especially for the price you charge for it. The cod croquettes at $9 the plate had 2 pinky size croquettes which were laughable. The meat, while good, was served cold. On a positive note the pasta, especially the smoked cod pasta, was delicious. Good cocktails too and good service. Would I come back? Not really. Halifax restaurant scene is booming and this was nothing out of the extraordinary especially for

I've only been for drinks for a going away party on the rooftop patio, but it was one of the best patios I've been on in a long time and was able to accommodate quick a lot of people without a reservation!

I'm hoping to go back again this summer and take advantage of that beautiful outdoor space some more!

The third and final east coast dinner spot is a little off the downtown beaten track in a part of town that is rough around the edges. The menu looks great and I'll be dining with two PARC staff who also came to the conference. Tonight I'm sticking to local beer...started with a half of the unfiltered rotating cask, currently Hoppy Fingers. Not too hoppy and very refreshing! My second local tap was a light Ale from Tatamagouche Brewing. The table ordered the following: a dozen Hidden Bay oysters, seared scallops (omg, best this trip), two of the halibut and today's fish special of

Food, service, drinks, atmosphere - all spot-on at Agricola Street Brasserie.

Not a whole lot to say about the Brasserie. If you feel like spending some money and enjoying some quality come here. You will not be disappointed.

I usually frequent during their happy hour which runs 4-6pm every day. $5 for 20oz craft beer. A few staples that don't change and 2-3 rotating taps. Good job to whoever chooses the beers. Well rounded selection!

Burger on the happy hour menu is very good. Not too pricey either from what I can remember, maybe $14-$15 w/ fries?

A+ for the Cheese and Charcuterie

This place has the best looking waiters and waitresses. Hands down. And the maritime friendliness as usual. I ordered the bibimbap my friends ordered the seasonal risotto and seared scallops. I was surprised by how well the Korean dish was done. The portion was huge. The scallops and The risotto were ok. The dessert, the bitter chocolate pot de creme was sooo creamy and delicious.
The cocktails were disappointing though.
The ambience atmosphere the people that worked there were all so good. Overall a good experience.

We have been here twice, and the food is excellent, and innovative. The portions are sized so you can manage appetizer-main-dessert if you so choose. I had parsnip soup, duck breast, and Mexican chelate cake; my wife had samosa, spinach pasta, and cheese cake. The bread was amazing! We were celebrating, do we had 2 glasses of NS bubbly and 2 of a Rhone. With tip, it came to $180, but worth it.

The service was good. A tiny criticism: we were seated in a section whose server had not reported for work, so were left waiting a tad long; however we did show up 5 minutes early!

Very nice spot to meet friends for a creative cocktail. Nice decor, warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. They could have filled our glasses more often with water but they were still nice and made suggestions on meal and beverage choices. My friend had the tofu Bimbap which looked (and I heard it tasted) great, served in a good sized cast iron pan. I had the duck which was deelish!! It was tender and had a nice sauce on it and was served with spƤtzle. Recommend! :)

My partner and I decided to try this new trendy spot in Agricola street for date night. It was a Saturday night, the restaurant was packed and we had no reservations, but the hostess offered us several alternatives including the option of sitting in the back by the kitchen! And that was a great choice!
We sat on tall chairs overlooking the space where several busy cooks whipped up the delicacies of the night before our very eyes. A very unique experience for a high end restaurant!
We ordered cocktails ($10 each, try the 'North Ender') and the Roasted Roots and Bulbs salad that included

Yup. This place is pretty sweet. From great atmosphere and service, to delicious food and drinks, this place is perfect for a great night out with friends, or an intimate date night. I had the 12oz dinner steak, and it was top quality meat, cooked to perfection, with amazing sides. And all the ingredients are made in house as well! The wines I tried were great, and the selection was good as well.

That being said, prices are a little on the high side. However, considering the quality of the food, it is well worth it. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be back for another

Met friends here recently for brunch. Asked for coffee, and was offered espresso choices, specifically an Americano, which was very good. Had to ask for sugar, though I was offered cream or milk. I tried the fish tacos, which were great, a lovely variety of flavours with citrus being quite prominent. The fish was battered and deep fried, which wouldn't be my first choice as it was the only heavy feeling part of an otherwise very light and fresh dish. The corn tortilla pieces were quite soggy by the end from all the salsa and citrus juice but it was overall delicious and just the right amount

After much renovating and wrestling the bureaucracy of liquor licensing, Halifax and possibly the entire world breathed a sigh of relief when Agricola Street Brasserie opened its doors to us.

In what would be a big week of restaurant openings in Halifax, ASB is serving accessible, vaguely French foods in what may be the nicest looking restaurant in the city. The main seating area is very open, with tall ceilings, brick walls and very cool lighting fixtures, accented by mirrors and metal shelves. There are different seating options available: from the regular tables, to high tops, the bar and
