I am a new client. I walked in earlier to book an appointment. The receptionist greeted friendly and did all the COVID-19 safety measures. I met my stylist Dil and she is very polite and professional. I had a hair cut and hair colour. Dil brought in the colour book and explain the difference between the colour coding. She asked how I want my hair styled and she also offer valuable suggestion. She is very detailed and she is very skillful too (she doesn’t wear an apron when colouring my hair!). I went to teknik about 2 weeks ago to get blonde highlights. Not only did she refuse to do it saying my hair was going to break and fall out (I just went to my normal hairstylist on Sunday and she did exactly what I asked and my hair is totally fine). She embarrassed me by pulling over 2 other people (her dad and aunt) and they all sat and told me about how dead my hair was and insulted the color I had it. When I tell you that you need to switch to Teknik salon, you NEED to switch to Tiknik salon. My hair has always been that weird mix between curly and wavy and has been a hassle for me for all too long. Hands down the best hair colour and cut I've ever had! I was a bit nervous - going from dark long hair to blonde balayage but wow, somehow Julia made it look natural. Like the sun came down and kissed my hair! My stylist really really knows her stuff - I felt like she was extremely intent on doing the best job - and she worked hard, I was there over three hours!! I am so very very happy :)

Kristina was absolutely amazing! This is by far the best experience I’ve had at a salon ever! I went from ashy white blonde to my natural colour so smoothly. Everyone was so sweet and helpful! She was constantly checking in and talking to me about everything that could benefit my hair! I was so comfortable instantly. I’ll never go anywhere else. I’m amazed and so happy with the outcome! L went to have my hair extensions (that I already own) removed and moved up in my hair as I'm supposed to do every other month. I have had this treatment done previously at 4 other hair salons in different cities including Kitchener. I have always paid between $150 and $200. I went to Teknik and left there in absolute shock when I was charged $586 by Joe! There is no justification for charging that much when I brought my own extensions with me! When I went back in to ask for a breakdown of the cost, it was as follows: $80 for wash; $150 for removal; $270 for installation, and $65.46 for HST
