My name is Kelty Hawley and I am a Registered Psychologist practicing in Edmonton with a M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta. I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals ages 16 and older. I specialize in working with depression, trauma, and working with Indigenous clients.
I have over ten years of experience providing therapeutic services to adults, teens and groups. I work with clients from all backgrounds, cultures, spiritual beliefs, and sexual orientations. I believe that counselling can be incredibly beneficial. The foundation of my practice is a person centered approach and I use a number of different therapeutic techniques depending on my clients needs.

I have a M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology from the University of Alberta in Edmonton and I am registered as a Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, the regulatory body for psychologists in Alberta.
I have worked providing psychological services in a variety of settings including; an inner city high school, a psychiatric hospital with addiction services, non-profits, a university counselling clinic, hospitals, and grief support groups.I completed a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and a M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology, both from the University of Alberta.

I believe that the relationship is the most important part of therapy. It is about genuinely connecting with the other person in order to help facilitate change. Research supports this focus on the relationship; it has been shown that the most important agent of therapeutic change is the therapeutic relationship.
As I am a Registered Psychologist my services may be covered by your employee health benefits, health insurance, or other extended health care coverage you may have. I am an approved provider under both the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program and the Indian Residential Schools Resolution Health Support Program (IRS RHSP).
