I was very excited to have my hair cut by a curly hair specialist. I waited for a month for the appointment. I ended up extremely disappointed. The receptionist had told me that it would take one and a half hours but after four hours I was still not finished. The stylist kept leaving me under the hairdryer while she gave treatments to other people. She spent very little time on the cut which is probably why my hair is way shorter than I wanted and the cut is actually uneven! Yes it's a little pricy, but the people who work here *know* what they're doing! I just had my 3rd visit at inhairitance and I feel like now I can give a better overview of my experience. I have super thick 4c hair and I feel like each time they really took care of me! My second visit there was a misunderstanding and while my hair looked beautiful initially, I received a slightly different style than I had booked with a product that didn't work well with my hair (e.g I had tons of flaking after only two days) BUT the salon was really amazing about working with me to make sure

Very disappointed with the service over the phone! Complete lack of care! It's the third time I talk to someone to get an appointment. First two times there was a 2 months waiting list and I could not wait. This time I was willing to wait no matter how long. I have my kid every second week and I work, so there are weeks I really cannot, and times of the day I really cant. The receptionist refused to accommodate my request, suggesting me 2 appointments on the weeks I have my kid and one at 11am, when I can't. I even told you that was no rush and she could give me an appointment in months

This was one of the worst hair cut experiences I have ever had. My bangs were cut to less than an inch in the front (you don't do that with curly hair!), there were strands left that reached my underarm that I had to cut myself. I came into the salon with what I was told was "amazing hair" and walked out looking like something a dog dragged in off the street after shredding it to pieces. In addition to the terrible hair cut that will take months to grow out into any acceptable form, it was the roughest shampooing I have ever experienced in a salon - it was frankly shocking. And

This will be a very mixed review.
First, it's a nice salon. The people are nice and the ambiance is too. They offer you tea and water and it's very clean.
When I got to Inhairitance and the only thing I said I wanted was to keep my hair long. And that's what I didn't get. After the cut my hair is maybe half as long as it once was and I'm still mourning. So if you're looking to retain length then this may not be a good fit.
Also , my cut took two and a half hours. I had to go to a play an hour after the store closed and I had to take an Uber because the cut actually

When I left this place I wasn't sure if I liked the end result but after a couple of days of being able to run my fingers through my super soft and manageable curls, I was in love.

Please do not bother to go to this salon. I went twice, once for braids and another time for twists. The braids were fine. I live in Vermont and there are no options for black natural hair care in the area so fine was well enough for me to return a second time. The second the twists were so horrible that they actually started falling out after one week.
