Dr. Fouad Alethawy graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D). He attends several hours of continuing education and technical courses every year to ensure that the services provided to his patients leave them smiling. In his spare time he enjoys he enjoys working out at the gym, playing tennis and travel.

I am so glad I decided to go to Monalisa dental center. Dr. Al is very knowledgeable and he sincerely cares about his patients and his work. He is experienced, professional, smart and caring. I had a couple of fillings done and the experience was great compared to all other dentist I have been in the past. I am excited that Dr. Al and his team will take care of my missing teeth soon! High recommending this place.

Dr. Al is professional, thorough, and most importantly considerate of his patients. I have been very impressed with his lovely way of helping my appointments fly by and with his attention to detail. Not only do I feel like my anxieties are being addressed, but I feel like every time I see Dr. Al I am actually learning about my teeth and how to best manage them. I feel pretty lucky to have found this dental office!

Just got my Wisdom tooth extracted today, and it was the best experience I’ve ever had! Dr. Fouad’s skills and hands are magic! I have severe anxiety over needles and extractions but he and his great assistant managed to calm me down and easily get the work done. I am so happy with the results, and I would never change this dentist clinic. 😌☝️

Everyone at Monalisa is so kind, friendly, and caring. Nowadays, it is rare to have relationships with health care practitioners since it is in such high demand and in my experience, I'm usually in and out and they're onto the next. My experience at Monalisa has been so personal with all the team which I deeply appreciate and makes the experience much nicer and smoother.

The best Dental clinic I have ever been to!! The receptionists are professional and helpful and Dr. Al is magic. I have anxiety and I’m incredibly sensitive yet I never experienced any pain during the treatment. I have known him for couple of years, he has done my braces, fillings, and even cleaning and I am never disappointed. My recent visit with him was great and I can’t stop smiling 😄

Dr. Al was very professional, clearly communicated the treatment plans and executed my fillings and invisalign comfortably. Happy to recommend this dental practice. The whole dental team, hygeinst, and reception were great.
I also visited a few dental clinics in the area and was shocked at the variation in the prices charged for the same items, such as bite wings, but Mona Lisa had some of the lowest, more reasonable prices

Arguably one of the best dental experiences I have had! Despite getting huge anxiety over being in the dental setting, the receptionists, hygienists and dentist were all very kind, caring and supportive toward making this experience as painless as possible. I would highly recommend taking a visit to Mona Lisa Dental as the staff are great at their jobs. They even sent me an email to wish me a happy birthday!

This was my first visit to Monalisa Dental Centre and it did not disappoint. Every step from scheduling the appointment with the very friendly and kind receptionist Ciara to the warm welcome from the staff was done with ease. My appointment was with the dental hygienist Deanna and Dr. Al who were both extremely professional and friendly throughout. I found there practice very efficient and carried out with the utmost care and consideration. The equipment and technology used is top of the range and this is why I would definitely recommend and will be a returning customer.

Thank you Dr.Al for your professional and outstanding service! Staff at Monalisa are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This is particularly important to me because I am very nervous when it comes to dental work. Dr. Al is patient and takes the time to explain in detail and ensures I understand and feel pleased with whatever procedure he is doing. I deal with anxiety due to past experiences with dental issues, however, I have to say I'm greatful I can rely on Monalisa to take care of my ongoing dental care.

I loved my experience at Mona Lisa Dental! The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. They are always upgrading to the newest technology and equipment. Dr. Al is extremely welcoming and easy to talk to. In addition to regular dental care, I have gone there for a broken filling, bite adjustment, night guard and Invisalign. During the lockdown, I had a dental emergency and Dr. Al saw me as soon as it was safe to reopen. I recently completed my 14 tray Invisalign process and I love my new smile! Also, reception is extremely friendly and it is easy to reschedule appointments!

So here me out before judging this because this is a recommendation;
a) they do amazing cleanings! Thank you to the assistants.
b) Dr Alethway, who I switched too from another local dentist, takes great care of me. He is great and very kind and attentive.
c) I cracked a tooth eating and the crack almost went right into the root. Dr Alethway did everything he could to save it and successfully did so. The tooth needed a root canal and crown, and the root canal was great expert work. If you need a root canal go here! Heck if you need anything go here.
Now the crown was determined to be leaking by

My experience here, relative to my standard dentist back home, was peculiar at best.
When I went in for a routine cleaning and panoramic scan last summer, we began to discuss the removal of my wisdom teeth. I live in Vancouver alone, and expressed concern for getting home afterwards, as the doctor suggested the use of general anesthesia, and most of my friends do not drive. Both the doctor, and the receptionist assured me not to worry, as I would be able to drive myself home afterwards (????)
At first, I thought I may have misheard these statements, and feeling unsettled, asked if local anesthesia

Everyone was quite nice here. The pricing wasn't bad. The dentist seemed quite decent, but the communication was always cloudy with a hint of meatballs (he could be a little difficult to understand at times). The administration side although nice could be quite disorganized. For one they don't answer phones half the time(BIG NO-NO), and the staff does not communicate effectively with one another. Wether that's the reason of bad management software, or lack of staff, or just plain staff communication issues is an unknown (the staff could also at times be difficult to understand).

My boyfriend had a loose tooth and was in a lot of pain, Dr. Fouad was able to squeeze us in for a last minute extraction on a long weekend. Another dentist had previously recommended us to go get dental implants but Dr. Fouad was very honest with his approach and provided us a easier and more cost efficient alternative with the same results. He is very thorough and dedicated toward his clients. We have always had bad experiences with dentists but Dr. Fouad is the one for us from now on.

If you have bad experient or you have any fear of dentist like me go to Monalisa dental on west 4 . Dr Alethawy and Hygienists Jade will help you . They are very friendly ,patient and professional .The clinic is very clean and comfor....I am not use to comment about people but I think it is very important that why I would like to recommend it to everyone .if you student or limit budget ,you still can come because I see they do have special price for student .
