Mountainside Auto Tech
Jim & Bette Robinson formed Mountainside Auto Tech in 1968. Originally it was an Esso automotive repair shop located at the corner of Trafalgar Rd. and Lakeshore in Oakville. In 1975 Jim & Bette moved the business to the corner of Guelph Line and Mountainside Dr. in Burlington. In 2002 the Robinson's moved off the Esso property to Mainway.

Although Jim is still active in the day-to-day business the repair shop is predominately run by his sons Jamie, Jeff and Scott. Today's automobiles are extremely complex machines that require the latest tools, equipment and technical knowledge to maintain and service properly. We always make the necessary investments in equipment and technical training required for these vehicles.

The technology in today's vehicles has become so sophisticated, many drivers are unaware of how their vehicle's systems actually work. Although it is not important for drivers to completely understand these systems, it is important to have a basic understanding of the systems and components that have the greatest impact on safety, dependability and performance.

I've been a customer for s few years and feel I need to write a review this shop as I have all my vehicles servied there. The staff are very friendly and professional. They are timely and have your vehicle ready when promised. They let you know when they find an issue that needs to be addressed, and how much time you have before you have before it may become a more serious issue. There is never any pressure or upselling, just repairs as required.

My experiences here has always been great. They are professional and respectful. I had alot of work done on the car. They were very upfront and tried to cut the cost the best they could. I recommend this shop for sure. My car feels like it is brand new.

I have never been able to find an honest, trustworthy and friendly mechanic shop until I stumbled upon Mountainside Auto. The shop is clean, the prices are fair and the service is impeccable. The business was able to accomodate me last minute for a brake issue. Prior to this, I had been loyal to another shop for almost 10 years however always left feeling cheated and unhappy with their quality of work. Mountainside Auto is a refreshing change, and this kind of place is hard to find in this industry. Thank you!

Loved them since I moved to the neighborhood 12 years ago. Always friendly, honest and accommodation, often saying I don't need "that" done and keeping our vehicles ship shape.

Great customer service and very honest staff that try to actually fix things first instead of just replacing parts right away.
They were very informative and explained very well to me the options I had with the costs of each to repair my car and they ended up saving me quite a bit of money.
I'll definitely be coming back whenever I need service done to my car!

These guys are pros. Busy shop (try to call a week before you want to book, in my experience) that takes care of all your automobile's needs, oil change, tire change, alignment, etc for reasonable prices. Great attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile (pun intended) for safety, too. My trusted go-to auto professionals!

I seriously trust these guys with my life. Before I even bought my car I brought multiple vehicles to them so they could check it out first. I literally would not buy a vehicle without these guys permission. Now that I have a car and I bring it there for all my maintenance and every time I leave there I can trust that my car has been well taken care of. Whenever I walk in they treat me like family. I don't know a whole lot about cars and how these things work but I always know im in good hands. Big love to the Mountainside Auto Tech family. I highly recommend!

My father and I took his car here for a repair, they ordered the wrong part and their juniour mechanics thought it would be a nice idea to try to ram the part on by smashing it with a hammer. A few days after driving it the car broke down again.
This time we took it to a real auto repair shop with some skill and intelligence. Upon having someone else look at it they put it on the hoist and showed us the damage Mountainside Auto had did, literally the worst job I've ever seen. The part he forced on caused more damage and when we confronted the owner at Mountainside Auto he laughed at us on the
