Tuxedo Tennis Club existed prior to the City of Winnipeg Amalgamation in 1972. At that time, there were four shale courts. It was upgraded to six courts prior to 1980 with some City funding combined with Club funds. The original clubhouse was a redeployed hockey warm-up shack with no water available or washroom facilities.

Who are we? Tennis Manitoba is the official governing body for tennis in the province of Manitoba. We are made up of Member Clubs, the membership at these clubs, and other individual members. Each year a volunteer Board of Directors is elected from the membership to help with the planning of the Association.

KTC was founded in 1937 as a non-profit club for the provision of recreation and relaxation to members of the community, available at an affordable cost. The club is located on the east side of Winnipeg's historic Red River, just north of the Chief Peguis Trail along Valhalla Drive.
