Laviolette Counselling
Seeking counselling is an opportunity to unearth past or present trauma, rediscover who you really are, or perhaps a different viewpoint is all you need. Counselling can provide a safe environment where a therapeutic relationship is built based on trust, respect, and empathy. There is a stigma attached to those seeking counselling, and many times, this stigma is placed by your own thoughts, or from someone you know.

This is far from the truth. Counselling allows a person to express their feelings and thoughts without judgement. It also allows a person to reflect on what brought them to counselling and to express an interest in doing what needs to be done in order to fulfill a purpose and vision.
Services
My name is Dean H. Laviolette, I am a proud Metis and a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I also have completed degrees in Child & Youth Care and Social Work. I am registered to provide services to First Nation Health Authority clients'. I have always known that I wanted to work with people in a helping capacity.
I offer a free 15 minute initial consultation to all new clients. It is important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor and this is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Outreach Counselling is available for clients wanting a familiar or neutral environment and those with mobility or health issues, please inquire for rates.
Cancelled sessions require 24 hours notice in order not to be charged for the scheduled counselling session. If less than 24 hours is given, the full fee of the counselling session will be applied. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in a healthy counselling relationship and what is shared within your session remains confidential.
