Services
The history of Steveston Veterinary Hospital, founded in 1974, is rooted in a deep passion for animals and a love of science. It was exactly this that drove Dr. Robert Galloway into a career in veterinary medicine and inspired him to take over Steveston Veterinary Hospital in 1978. Dr. Galloway had a special interest in surgery and gained extensive experience in orthopedic and general surgery cases throughout his 40 + year career.
A Richmond veterinarian is raising concerns over pets consuming edible cannabis products after seeing more toxicity cases since the legalization of marijuana. Steveston Veterinary Hospital wants to raise awareness about pet safety this Halloween season - especially around fireworks. We are closed today in recognition of the experiences of survivors of residential schools in Canada.
Steveston Veterinary Hospital provides full service, tip to tail, care throughout your pet's entire lifespan, including:. We are equipped to handle a wide variety of medical conditions, including emergencies during office hours. We have partnered with Mutt Massage to be able to provide our patients with a full body well-being service.
Yes, appointments are required to see the veterinarian unless it is an absolute emergency. Contact our receptionist to schedule. You will need to pay us for our services up front and then seek reimbursement from your pet health insurance company. The Steveston Veterinary Clinic and its veterinarians are licensed through the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia.
We are a full service animal hospital offering regular health assessments, dentistry, and vaccinations with an emphasis on preventive care. We also provide medical and surgical consultations and a wide range of diagnostics, medical treatments, and surgical services utilizing current anesthetic procedures and appropriate pain management.

Dropped off a client, Manouche for CCL surgery & picked him up the next day. The surgeon, Dr. Breanne Galloway, was very kind, polite & professional, showing us the X-rays & explaining in detail what she did, what we can expect & how to proceed moving forward. She returns calls if placed & is happy to help with any questions or concerns. The clinic is very clean & tidy & I would definitely recommend this Hospital & it's staff.

I really like this veterinary clinic and am glad they take care of my feline friends. I especially like the doctors' compassion and empathy. The support staff are great too - Shannon kindly stayed late to process a food order even though I came after the clinic closed! Talk about sweet. Can't say enough good things.

We have been taking our pup for a couple years. We really like Dr. Galloway. She is very good with our fur baby. I trust that she cares about her clients. The staff have been friendly and I appreciate that.
The only critiques we would have is that it is located on the corner of a busy intersection and during covid we can't go in even to hand off with a mask (especially nerve wracking when you want to be with your dog before a surgery). I get taking the precautions to keep everyone safe but when clients don't know the level of experience of the front staff with reactive/anxious dogs, I would much

Went in for a puppy check up for my Bernese mountain dog (3 months old)! All of the staff were great, and my puppy loved them as well. My puppy can get very over excited as she is quite young and the staff handled it very well. They even offered to cut her nails for free as they were getting quite long. I was very happy with the care, and I am sure my girl can’t wait for her next visit. Thank you for taking the pressure off during the first vet appointment!
