If you're a guinea pig parent... RUN!! This doctor did NOT inspect my little piggie, then gave medications that weren't even necessary. When we asked about it, he contradicted himself throughout the appointment. It also blew my mind how he lifted my Guinea pig, then said its the guinea pigs fault for being so scared when the doctor grabbed him by the armpits, dragged him out, held him up, squished him, and held him sideways to inspect him. His eyes were bulging out from fear. There was 0 support how he held him. He got defensive when we asked about treatments. Then said, "we can

The girl sitting at the front desk should not be working at a vet hospital if she doesn't know the basic difference between a low fat and regular fat can of dog food. Her answer was "different ingredients". Did she really think that wasn't obvious? A five year old child could have been more informative. Not only was she unhelpful but she was visibly miserable. That's definitely not the face you want to see when you walk in with your pet. Don't even get me started on the lack of wearing her mask, which are mandatory especially working in a clinic like that. My daughter took her beautiful Alaskan Husky here because of health concerns in April'20. They checked him over and did blood work. results were that he was fine except for elevated calcium levels in blood work. Nothing was said about this, and she took him home. Last Thursday, (June 19/20), back again to Killarney Animal Hospital, he wasn't eating, non responsive to normal stimuli. More blood work, x-rays ,he had lost 25 lbs since mid April. Sent home with antibiotics and a non confirming diagnosis that it might be cancer. Told to wait for results from x-rays. No call from Killarney

Terrible experience. A misdiagnosis & incredibly poor customer service.
My cat acquired ringworm from a groomer. When I brought her into this vet for a different reason, I asked them to do a skin exam (for what I thought at that time was just a cut). I later learned they didn't actually do the skin exam I asked for... they just prescribed her polysporin on the spot.
Her ringworm progressed very quickly after this visit. Had they actually diagnosed her properly at that time, we would have only been dealing with 1 spot instead of 9. My cat could have started oral antibiotics that much sooner

Dr. Chaudhry has been taking care of my dog for years and is by far one of the friendliest vets I have ever been to. He treats my dog like family and really cares about his wellbeing. He always tries his best to make himself available whenever its needed; I've never even bothered looking for another vet after going to him. He even provides 24/7 emergency services since he lives so close by, and he really cares about my dog, which is everything I need to ease my mind whenever my buddy isnt feeling well. Don't hesitate to pay him a visit!

It seems as though this vet is only semi decent if everything "happens" to go right. Anything out of the norm or if something needs further attention they offer vague or no help and can be very rude about it. I won't be back, I felt zero confidence in dealing with staff and the vet.
Lately I've seen postings that they lost someones dog and won't cover any costs to get a special searcher to help, just threatened them with a call to the police if they contacted them again, what??? That's very disappointing from somewhere who is suppose to support the well being of animals

I have two dogs and I brought them to this clinic for dental cleaning. My family recently moved to the area and we were looking for a new vet. We ultimately settled on this one since it was a few minutes away from my home. I was pleasantly surprised by the initial quote for cleaning - as in my experience dental cleaning can cost an upwards of $1000 at some other clinics. However, they quoted me a far lower price, and with two dogs it was perfect and I decided to book in.
The booking process was easy enough and the receptionist was helpful over the phone. I was also able to get an appointment the

Today is my third visit to this vet - this vokra supported vet.
Worrying about our 7 month old kitten an hour before they open, I called at 7:15am and left a voice mail on their work line. I then busied myself hoping to hear back when they opened at 8 and then anytime after 8am... as 9am approached I was not happy. I chose to call to ask why might a voicemail not yet be returned during the hour they've since been open-to which the kind voice said voicemail goes to the doctor's personal cell - so only he has access (!?).

One Word - LOVE! These people love your animals. I can't even express how thankful I am to the staff here and the Vet especially.
I spent the last 3 days dealing with dishonest and frankly cruel vets in New Westminster.
Very thorough. Very rwassuring. Even when I had believed she needed further testing (due claims from the other vet) and asked if I should get said tests, they said it would be unnecessary at the moment based on the cats thorough exam and reports of her health. I saw them deal with multiple families and their furbabies and I noticed that these people including the receptionist

It's been a few months since we had to put our old kitty down, but we're still a bit traumatized by our Killarney experience.
Being that our cat was generally terrified to leave the house at all, we'd thought we'd make her last moments less stressful by having the vet come to us. Our usual (wonderful) vet does not do house calls, so after googling around we found that Killarney would. We paid a premium to have them come over, and wish so much that we'd chosen another vet with better bedside manner and service.
First, they tried to cancel our appointment two hours before

I came to this animal hospital through VOKRA, as it was one of two in Vancouver that we could have complimentary neutering done for our two male kittens. Prior to bringing them, one of my kittens had started to experience digestive complications. I called them on Christmas Eve and asked if I should bring him in or wait until the appointment on the 29th. They said I should wait. Alright.
The following are all of the negative experiences I have had with them in less than a week:
1) Provided different information to me.
Firstly I was told the following in regards to the neutering: no food after

Brought my 2 cats here on several occasions, and they were always good experiences.
I adopted my second cat from Action for Animals, and this hospital is one of the patrons to the organization. In the first week, my kitten caught an upper respiratory infection, so we made an appointment with the hospital. The doctor easily diagnosed the problem, and provided us with oral antibiotics (I believe) and a tube of eye cream. Luckily, due to the hospital's association with the organization, we left free of charge. The service they provided was swift and satisfactory.

The receptionists are all very nice here! Very knowledgeable and helpful--the one girl who helped me was so honest and upfront, she told me we were free to refuse treatments suggested by the docs if we wanted to (just say no!), because some treatments are quite costly. But their rates are very reasonable, from consultation ($26) to nail trim (can't remember) to the many products they offer.
I'm also surprised by the many negative reviews I see about Killarney Animal Hospital, but it seems like only the bad experiences are making it online. It just goes to say that each trip is different

I felt like I had to write a review after reading so many negative ones. I just adopted a new cat who had seen the vet at this clinic when he was rescued so I decided to go to them as they had him on file already. The staff was friendly, the doctor (a nice lady who works on the weekends) was gentle, honest, and informative.
Later that day I had to take my other cat in for an emergency. Again, friendly, realistic, and informative. They clearly made decisions with my cats comfort in mind, not just making a buck off of his condition. I had to follow up his blood work with more tests the next day

I come here when I'm desperate or in case there's an emergency because this vet is close to my house. But overall, I've found the staff unskilled and unfriendly. I find they charge unfair prices and try to up sell you on vaccinations or products (sadly many vet offices are like this). Other reviewers have had this same complaint.
I don't know if they care about the animals but when I've brought my dog here in the past they always recommend unnecessary things for him just to charge me, such as extra shots. Still a better clinic than ATLAS, but that isn't a high standard

The staff is awesome and the price is really reasonable. The doctors here are very thoughtful and patient (especially with many clients that are lacking common knowledge of how an animal hospital operates). As a regular, I have seen the staff and doctors dealing with many clients who, I'd have to say, are very rude and unwilling to accept necessary procedures for their pets. Their prices are so much cheaper compared to many other vets. I asked around for prices for my dog's dental and some gave me up to 4-digit price.
To people who read reviews, some comments on here are very unfair

The first few times we came here service was good and prices were low. Then it just got ridiculous. My dog got her vaccinations and had an allergic reaction and started limping. After examination, the vet didn't know what caused it and said he had to do an xray in case something was broken. Tests were negative and he came back diagnosing her with allergic reaction to the vaccination. He prescribed medications (pain killers and some other medications) and then sent us on our way with a $300 bill. The next time we went here was when she had an ear infection. He said he had to flush
