An early Whistler hotel that is starting to show its age. Could use some updated decor and a few modern improvements. Bed was comfy. Room was small & cramped. No microwave. Had a small refrigerator. Bathroom was nice and bright. All surfaces appeared clean & dust free but I saw a couple of stains on the walls??? Staff were a bit standoffish but polite when engaged. Very nice pool and hot tub. Easy walk to ski lifts - 10 minutes.

We stayed between Christmas and New Years so it was peak pricing. We booked it as it was the only hotel left in the village with rooms under $1500 a night. We paid $500 a night, we were meant to stay two nights and left after one. This hotel has more motel type look and feel, the rooms in the booking photos look slightly updated but feels much different when you arrive(feels more like a motel). The walls were paper thin and there are lots of families in the hotel with kids and dogs running up and down the hallways making it impossible to sleep. They were nice enough to refund us the second night

We had booked two double rooms for 7 people. David the front manager made sure we got another room that was more comfortable as a family. Him and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.… Becks in reservations was also super accommodating with all our changes to our reservations even helping out after our cancellation period was over. We had some issues with pushing dates because of COVID restrictions. Hotel is at excellent location from the gondolas, rooms are comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. You can find other hotels

Location is great. Definitely worth the price given that it is the least expensive among all 3 star hotels in the area. The biggest complaint is the lack of staff, probably due to covid, and no room service for a 6 days stay. We need to carry our own trash. Front desk said we can just leave them out side our room but I don't like having tash everywhere.

The staffs are kind which is good. However I like to post the pictures that I taken everywhere were so dusty... Even cups, coffee maker, shalves,,, it's unbelievably disgusting...!! I showed the pictures to the front desk and they changed a new room which is a bit better but still dusty... I wiped a coffee maker with a towel and washed cups. I just wiped one time that looked so much better. How come they don't clean like this... Main entrance is full of salt and white stain on the floor

Had a very disappointing experience at Aava this past weekend.
Went to take a shower and upon opening the curtain, there was blood stuck on the inside of the curtain. At first I thought it was rust but when the water hit the spot, it started to come out. Needless to say this was really bad housekeeping as well as a biohazard.
The front desk said there was no housekeeping on the weekend and offered us a new room which turned out to be smaller than the one we had and closer to the elevators (much noisier). Had to complain again and finally we got a more suitable room in a quieter spot. Unfortunately

Overall, the experience at this hotel was very good. The place was clean, welcoming and the staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the pool/hot tub was very enjoyable. We got a great deal on our room and only spent about $900 for an entire week at the hotel.
What's holding me back from giving the Hotel a 5 star review is that the rooms sadly do not include a microwave, so this forced us to spend our money elsewhere to buy meals, tea, coffee, etc. Having a microwave to heat up food or even a kettle to boil water would have helped us tremendously to save money during our

Best place to stay at an affordable price. Room is clean and well kept. The receptionist were so polite and helpful.Very close to any place you would love to see and visit.
Thanks guys for the comfortable place to stay. The only issue here are some other guest who are not mindful of other room users. They make noise while walking down the hallway and bang their doors which can be heard from inside the rooms. Otherwise it's all good đź‘Ť

We stayed at a Mountain View/pool King Suite and loved everything about our stay. Bed was super comfy. Gorgeous room with fireplace in open living room, with large kitchen, dining table for 6 and super comfy couches and lounge chairs. Hot tub/pool area was relaxing, clean. And central/lower village location makes it easy to walk to anywhere! Front desk staff were also very friendly and kind. Had a great stay!
We’d book the Aava hotel again.

Awesome one night stay!
Amazing hospitality by this group.
Aava Whistler gets top marks from us for cheer, hospitality and going the extra mile.
Booked on Expedia and had a few questions with regards to an early check in as we wanted to drive up from Vancouver, change for Scandinave spa and then head back out. Check in was as requested at 11 am!!!! Not only that but the entire staff signed a birthday card for my fiancé. Room type was ready as requested with a big king bed . The wifi was free which is a huge plus as we both work from our devices and when you pay $300 plus for a room, wifi is

The structure itself seems older but the units and common areas have been updated with modern furnishings. We had a king bed and a gas fireplace in our room, with a view of the street...fun for our son who loved to watch the traffic and snow plough. Courtesy late checkout is 12pm and $10 per hour after that. The room was super clean and the bed very comfortable. Spacious room. The shower worked well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Only 2 min walk from Whistler Village but far away enough for it to be quiet. Price was reasonable considering the location. Parking is $20 a night

Friendly helpful reservation staff who helped re-boot our holiday. After a rough start elsewhere, our short notice request for an accessible room that could accommodate us was quickly arranged and confirmed.… They really bailed us out. We needed to store our large Adaptive bike and equipment and they made easy storage space in the spare conference room. Affordable, simple rooms and love the bike valet. Thanks Aava Staff

I unfortunately have to write a bad view from my stay here. I am usually never one to complain but my stay here was absolutely horrible and my friend and I were treated awfully by the receptionist.
We booked… our one night stay online and had no problem (we’re 20 and 21 both with credit cards to pay). We were stopped from the receptionist when we got there and were almost turned away because we weren’t 25 and they have a “strict policy” for not allowing anyone to stay under 25. We already booked online and there was nowhere that stated this. She right away judged

Aava is a very beautiful and comforting hotel right on the edge of Whistler Village and within easy walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. The staff was very attentive, professional and courteous. The room is your typical lower budget hotel accommodation with a very nice modern feel. The entrance and lobby is beautifully designed and charming. And parking is plentiful and moderately priced. I highly recommend staying here on your next trip to the area.

Would not recommend staying here...
1. Distance to ski entrance (it's about 3-4 blocks and "think" about it... you have to lugged your ski gear and walk with your ski boots).
2. parking very expensive vs public parking that is nearby
3. Furniture is old (I would stay at Westin or Hilton)
4. Carpet -- needs to be renovated
5. AC/Heater unit -- dusty & needs to be replaced
6. Wall are paper thin .. read other reviews...
Topper: What's really bad was Poor service and hospitality. ...
- Front Desk Staff was horrible.
- Guest Service Manager was rude & pushy

This hotel really doesn't deserve more than 2 stars. Other than the fact that they're very close to the village, there is nothing going for this place. It's ultra expensive for the stuff you get. First of all, they don't have room service for food. They don't even have a brochure that normally hotels put in rooms to tell more about the hotel and amenities. The staff is quite rude. We asked multiple times for a room that would suit our needs as we had a dog that they knew about (and we informed them many many times about it) but they intentionally did nothing about it and

Decent pricey but a little pricey for the size of the room and bathroom and in general. However, friendly staff and friendly to dogs. Lots of parking spaces: the west side, east side, and even a few on the streets although it's a bit small. Pretty clean and organized. Quite convenient too and free no password required wifi.

I enjoyed my stay here. Hotel room was nice and the staff was accommodating. We requested a 4th floor room and I think this made our experience better. We could hear people outside in the hallway talking but it was only a few incidents, nothing too distracting and honestly to be expected. I wish there was more counter space and places to hang towels and robes. We ended up requesting new towels each day because there wasn't adequate space to hang them up to dry for another day of use. Please consider adding hooks to the back of the bathroom door or additional towel racks.
