I love this place. I have been their customer since 15 years ago. They are a very traditional Japanese restaurant. Fish is always fresh and master's skill on handling sushi has always been top notch. Plan on dropping by a few more times in the coming after today to take advantage at their lunch specials (Tuesday to Friday) and to support the owners!

I read online that this is an authentic place with a talented chef at the helm. While this may very well be true, the takeout I got to experience today disappointed me. Too much rice which did not taste all that good, not enough filling, and mediocre overall taste left me unimpressed. In my humble opinion, nothing beats Ichiban Fish House (9425 Leslie St) - my favourite sushi joint in Markham.

We came to Miyabi on Friday for dinner as it offers fresh sushi/sashimi for your taste palettes. When we got in, it was starting to get busy, but we were able to get a table right away. There's quite a selection of sushi/dishes to choose from in their menu.
Since there was only two servers (the older one can barely speak English well), it was somewhat hard to get their attention as they were just running around tables a majority of the time. However, my low rating was not because of their food (which btw, our sushi were really fresh!), but due to their overall wait time and service.

Great authentic Japanese restaurant. We have been coming here for years. A very casual dining space with two small private rooms Super friendly service, great variety of food (along with daily specials) and everything is so fresh and delicious. They even have party trays for take out orders. I believe the prices are justified for the quality of food. The sushi deluxe is $29 and comes with 11 pcs sushi and 6 pcs maki which is very good!

Incredible Japanese restaurant. The best sushi in the GTA by a mile. Particular their nagiri. Definitely check it out...
We tried:
-Asahi beer
-Deluxe assorted sushi (11 nagiri, 6 rolls)
-Spider roll
-vegetable tempura
-black cod appetizer
-green tea and black sesame ice cream
Everything was absolutely perfect. The seaweed nori on the rolls was melt in your mouth and flavourful. Everything was done beautifully. Definitely recommend getting nagiri here.
The spider rolls did take a while longer than everything else and were not as good as the rest.

One of 2 authentic Japanese run restaurants in Markham (that I know of, the other is Zen). Prices are on the higher side but is reflected in the quality of the fish and rice preparation. Some of the ala carte sushi you can get half off if you order a 2nd set. The place tends to close a bit early compared to other restaurants though so keep that in mind.

It’s an authentic Japanese restaurant. You can really feel that you are in a traditional authentic Japanese restaurant once you step in the door, the fish and vinegar aroma are all over the restaurant. The sushi rice are nicely made, vinegar is in good proportion and the rice are in good tempura and not over cooked. The fish for sashimi and sushi are very fresh. They can also do custom made order, like Uni-Ikura Don.
There is another special event order that I want to bring up with, it’s their Osenchi Bento!!! It’s only available for the New Year, you have to pre-order it before Dec.27
