Great ambiance and the seafood is magnificent lived the staff as they come timely with refills and new plates for you as yours gets filled up. The Singapore fried rice was amazing full of flavour and spices it’s a must try if you’re u certain what to order. Also try the pepper lobster dish it was great pan fried style, but still tasty.

My friends and I have been back time and time again because of just how much we love their food!! Every time I’ve brought a friend there, they’ve always raved about how delicious the food is. One of our faves is definitely the curry crab with roti (their flagship dish). The sauce is so good that I wish I could pack it up and eat it with everything. Another fave of mine is the beef short ribs (not pictured here). I’ve tried a lot of beef short ribs before and Saigon Star’s marinade is by far my favourite!! We also got the basil chilli clams which was absolutely delicious. The sauce was sooo

I love the interior and the food was pretty good. I would say if you are someone that doesn't like spicy food you should get the pad thai here. My sister got a coconut curry chicken noodle soup which also was not spicy. Service was bomb.

Saigon Star is a really great place to go to if you can't decide between Vietnamese, Chinese or Thai cuisines.
This restaurant has been a mainstay in the Richmond Hill area for good reason. I've heard about their curry crab dish for the longest time and had to finally try it out for myself. We ordered a few dishes to share as most dishes are their menu are served family style.
The curry crab was really the star of the night. Served in a shallow plate, unctuous and expertly-cooked crab gets placed in a well-spiced bath of coconut milk curry, the color of a deep tan. The result is a spicy-yet-silky

Saigon star just HITS THE SPOT!!! I’ve been craving seafood for months and this went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend families or groups of friends to check it out. The lobster and pork neck was by far two of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I couldn’t get enough. We also tried their famous curry crab (have it with the roti) and scallops. We didn’t get the chance to try their dessert (just means I need to go again) but the smoothies and Vietnamese coffee really were the cherries on top.

Absolutely amazing curry crab.. it took me and my mom a couple years to find this place after having it way back, and the quality stayed just as we remembered it! Haven't been since before COVID, but I know it'll live up to the expectation. Only issue, not enough crab, but when is it ever enough??

Reasonably priced here and the grilled chicken vermicelli with a spring roll tasted great. Was a little disappointed that they don’t serve it with rice during dinner time but it is offered during lunch. A bit weird if you ask me but it is what it is. If your want this on rice, come during lunch!

Fine dining Vietnamese food indeed; includes the fine dining price tag. This place is known for their infamous curry crab, however delicious, a majority of their other menu items don't seem to live up the their premium price tags. Even the more upscale options like lobster, jumbo shrimp and crab are a bit on the pricy side for what they are. Stay away from the basic menu items that be found at other Vietnamese restaurants for a fraction of the price and stick to the novelty items.

Their takeout is a bit disappointing. I feel like the portions have gotten a lot smaller compared to years ago when I dined at the restaurant. The crab didn't have all of its legs. The curry and rotis are still great tasting as ever though. Also, don't get the garlic veggies. The veggies are old and unappetizing.
