The best sushis I've ever had. They are sooo fresh, the rice is nothing like what you usually find in all you can eat buffets. The dragon roll is to die for. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.

The sushi are warm. The sushi dont stick together they all fall appart. They dont taste good not fresh at all. Also very expensive for the quality. Go elsewhere.

Chicken teriyaki was burnt and fried cutlet was stored in a bowl covered in sauce which with takeout made the cutlet soggy and not crispy.

Their spring rolls that come with the dish was delicious.
The katsu was a little dry and chewy, but decent.
The rice was definitely very old as it was all stiff and basically had become ‘rice cake’.
There wasn’t much curry sauce to mix and cover all the meal. The sauce itself was good.

I enjoy going at lunch time and having the option of requesting a separate section (curtained off) or stting in dining section. The food is always great and prices affordable. We ordered Bento boxes, which give you a taste of a variety of items and the lunch special chicken teriyaki. Everyone was quite satisfied with their picks.

Gluten free - The first sushi restaurant in Ottawa that I've been to that has gluten free soy sauce and is prepared to answer your questions. I had an avocado role, shared an Ume plate, and had the grilled salmon. All were very good. The service was friendly but could have been a little quicker but overall I really enjoyed the experience.

Yeah overpriced and not enough food. Positive thing is that they are opened to serve tourists after business hours. Come on people. The cost must be marginal to give more food.

One of my favourite go-to quick dine-in places this side of downtown. Reliably fresh, well-presented assorted sashimi that goes well with hot sake, rice tea with soft n chewy mochi, nice ambience, great service. I am consistently content 😌.

Overpriced food of average quality in a town where restaurant prices are closely attuned to civil servant expense allowances

It was great to hear Moonglow play jazz. We brought friends to hear them. Sorry Jazz is finished. Would have liked to come again.

Festival Japan is a fantastic restaurant with a fun and friendly atmosphere. They have the best sushi in the City. The owner, Samantha Liu takes great care in making sure all her guests are treated like family. Highly recommend it.

This was probably the most authentic Japanese restaurant I've been too. But then again, I do tend to go to the cheap Chinese run sushi joints in Chinatown so that's not really saying anything.

The decor was good.. made me feel like I traveled to Japan. Service was not bad either.

A little pricey from what I'm used to paying but it really shows in the quality. I was confused when my meal came because there was no wasabi. After inspecting my bento box, I finally located the small dab of wasabi hidden under the ginger. I thought to myself, for such an expensive place, you're

I had an urge for sushi and was lucky to find this place nearby my hotel.

I had the following items

Tako Su is octopus, seaweed, cucumber, colourful roe, noodles in a vinegar broth

Refreshing. I truly enjoyed this. You will a need a fork to scoop up the roe

The 5 piece sushi appetizer for the price offered low cost fish and the rice was kind of dry

Yaki-Tori

Grilled chicken with onion on a skewer was dark meat grilled and was flavourful.

The restaurant had a nice setting with private booths and service was super smooth.

Pricing was unusually high but then maybe because its downtown that

Friendly service, subpar food.

Salad was practically drowning in the dressing.

Spicy tuna temaki consisted of a tuna log on rice with poured spicy mayo over it.

Chirashi was expensive, with pretty basic rice (no seasoning on top, does not taste like proper sushi rice).

The fish was fresh, but not cut properly.

I would not recommend this place, I'm certain there are better sushi places to be found in Ottawa.
