Ian MacDonald (shown left), was formally trained in Jewellery Design through his City in Guilds Apprenticeship in the UK. After moving to Victoria, Ian MacDonald opened the doors to his Fort Street Jewellery Design Studio in 1979. MacDonald & Horridge Fine Custom Jewellery Designers & Makers was officially formed in 1984, when they relocated to their current View Street location (with an entrance on Trounce Alley).

A big thank you to Ian Horridge at MacDonald and Horridge Jewelers in Trounce Alley. It was amazing working with him. He was able to take all of our bits and pieces and create this stunning symbol of our love. My husband went to Ian with a preliminary design for my engagement ring and Ian made the most beautiful ring I've ever seen!
