OWNER/MANAGEMENT Sean has been involved with Fitness FX for over 18 years. Starting off in a sales position then becoming more involved with Marketing and eventually the Management of the facility. My passion for business started with Fitness FX, which eventually led me to enrol in Saint Mary's Universities Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations Program.

Just as the website says " the workout you need, for the price you deserve" no false advertising here.

Positive: Communication, Professionalism
Unlike in the corporate gyms (Goodlife), you can actually TALK with people in this friendly gym. Nice people all around and good trainers.

Gym closes very early. Weekend is earlier. Should close at 11 pm at least. Opening the gym at 5.30am is not feasible for many people. The many people who work full-time can come there between 7-10pm. The availability is a few hours for these people.

Awesome equipment and friendly that always says hi and welcomes you every time you visit.
Great equipment, and the boxing room and power lifting room and great inclusions.

Affordable, great atmosphere and you really can work out without feeling intimidated or that you "don't belong". Friendly staff and clients! I wished more gyms were like Fitness FX

I have been coming to this gym for the past four years. It has a great community feel to it, with a variety of ages and athletic abilities. The owner (Sean) is a "hands-on" person who really cares about the services offered, and he is supported by some terrific staff. In Covid times I feel very safe there, with excellent measures taken to protect gym-goers. Reasonable rates, older (but well-maintained) equipment, and solid management make this a great place to work out.

Great gym for price. Has everything you need for most intermediate programs. Kind and knowledgable staff. Some equipment is dated in comparison to big chains but true lifters will feel at home. :)

I started working out at this location in 1984,it was called World Gym at the time. I continued to workout here on and off right up to today. In all my years not one owner has done or cared as much about this place as Sean does. He puts his heart into it,always awesome to deal with and has great staff too, willing to help when needed. I would highly recommend this place for getting some great workouts in a friendly environment.

The perfect no frills gym. Plenty of weights and machines and cardio stations. The PTs are great too, or at least mine is. The app to book your spot is super easy too. All in all, a very good gym for the price.

Arguably the best gym in the city. Staff is always very friendly and the prices cant be beat, especially with the student deals available. Equipment works great and is plentiful so you will rarely be waiting for anything except perhaps at peak times. There is also a smoothie bar where you can get some delicious post workout drinks. Parking can be found at the McDonalds beside the gym, I have never had a problem finding a spot. Can not recommend this gym enough to someone looking for a new or their first gym.

I have been a member of fitnessfx for a year now and find the staff friendly and helpful in the instructors really great. Everyone is encouraging and there is a wide variety of clients. Today they went above and beyond when I came in for a run on the treadmill and my hair elastic broke. I asked at the front desk if they had a rubber band I could use but instead was offered a really nice hair tie out of a brand new package. This may not sound like a big thing but for me to go for a run with my hair down would have been unpleasant and I feel like they saved the day for me. Another example of how

In the spirit of full disclosure I am probably not Fitness FX's typical customer. I'm a newbie triathlete trying to squeeze in a economic spin class into my cardio-packed schedule. At fourty bucks for ten classes it was a no-brainier to me! Michael is the spin instructor and if this review was just evaluating his instruction I would give him eleven stars out of ten. He always presented a well structured class that gave options to those who wanted to push harder and some technique tips. He presents a great class to a wide range of abilities. My issue is when a gym advertises spin classes

A great neighbourhood gym. When I first started coming here I didn't think they had enough cardio equipment - because that's my fall back - but once I became a regular I realized that's just not why people go to Fitness Fx. Whatever machine I'm interested in is usually available immediately or within 20 minutes. It's a very friendly place, and things are generally tidy and ready to use. I do find that depending on the time of day there are some folks who forget the "please don't drop your weights and scare the jittery among us" rule, and clang their weights

This gym has everything that you need. The equipment and the weights may be a bit older than those at some of the newer and bigger gyms, but at the end of the day you don't need fancy new weights when solid and reliable equipment will let you get the job done.

There are two floors. The main floor has very high ceilings and contains most of the equipment. Here, you will find the free weights, weight machines, and cardio equipment. There are three squat racks and two flat bench presses, as well as all of your other benches (decline, incline), dumbells, etc. on this floor. Cardio machines are

This seems like a great little community gym. I went in today to find out about rates and to check out the space. The main floor is open concept, with loads of different machinery offering cardio workouts to weights and resistance training.

I was greeted promptly by a friendly gym employee who gave me a price and info list. If you sign up as a member, you get access to their classes, as well as a complimentary initial training session. To head in for the day is $10, and a 1 month pass is only $50. They have a 6 month membership deal for $200 advertised in the window as well as an assortment of

A bread and butter gym - I feel like this place builds as much character as it does muscle mass.

The clientele are all rather friendly and never make you feel weird about your ability. You can be a casual fitness enthusiast all the way through to Dr. Frankfurter's dream man and you'll fit in just fine.

The equipment is all in solid condition and you usually don't have to wait very long (if at all) to hop on the machine you're looking to use. The gym is very clean and staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

The only thing that might deter someone from making use of Fitness FX

No such thing as too muscular at this gym! But don't be intimidated. They are nice super hero looking people.

I love going to Fitness Fx. If only for the fact that I am an average, skinny, 5'10 male. And a lot of the guys who go to this gym are professional body builder's! Its great to walk up to them lifting eighty pounds or more with one arm and I'm there with my nice and light fifteen or twenty pounds. I try to stare them down but they simply laugh at me.

This gym boasts "a full stock of dumbbells ranging from 3
all the way up to 160 lbs." This is very true.
