I recently moved back to Vancouver and have been looking for an optometrist for my family. I came across Dr.Zhao’s Instagram page and found it really informative in regards to myopia awareness and myopia control for kids. Today I went in to see her for the first time and I must say it was a great experience. All the staff were super friendly and helpful, and Dr. Zhao is very knowledgeable and great at what she does! I can’t wait to bring my son in to see her when he turns 2!

I highly recommend Avenue Eyecare. A few months ago, I had an eye appointment to check on my prescription. Dr. Jessica Chang was my optometrist. She was very professional and took the extra mile to check my eyes. During the appointment she notice my eye have change and there are some symptoms of potential glaucoma. Dr Zhao caught the fact that I did not need a prism in my lenses. I had previously been given prisms which wound up causing eye strain. Her store manager, Ray, also explained that my previous lens were too shallow for progressive lenses, something that had caused me ongoing problems. I've been going to Dr. Jessica Chang for years now and she's the best optometrist I've ever seen. She really takes the time to figure out what's wrong and weighs the options with you. She and her staff are friendly and whenever I order contact lenses, they always arrive pretty quickly. I will not hesitate to go back and highly recommend their services to anyone.

It's that time again, I thought...

Sit down, generic optician robotically takes generic measurements, generic optometrist asks generic questions and gives generic suggestions.

I've always thought an eye exam was a generic checklist until my appointment with Dr. Zhao.

This was the first eye exam where I felt that I've learned about the necessary steps to improve holistic ocular health!

Dr. Zhao is the best. I came out of my check-up with a much better idea what the health of my eyes are like. Dr. Zhao took time to explain my prescription and recommended way to take better care of my eyes.

I booked en eye examination with Dr. Jessica Chang, I was very remiss in having my eyes tested for some time. The entire Staff at Avenue were very pleasant and professional in assisting me during my appointment as well as my follow-up appointments to assess whether or not the changes made were a continued improvement for me. Dr Sherman Tung is the greatest !! He brought up images of my eyes on his computer and told me in detail what issues I had and how best to address them. Excellent, excellent service !! I would recommend Dr Sherman Tung anytime !!

Came to Avenue Eyecare for my Bi-Annual checkup and everything was fantastic again. Dr Tung is super professional and friendly and addressed all my concerns.
His assistants helped me pick out a wonderful pair of glasses that totally fit my face, I love it! Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family.

I was looking to get some glasses done on a budget. The catch was not the budget but that they had to fit my wide head. I checked some models on an online retailer but was neither impressed nor satisfied.
I went to Dr. Chang for my prescription and their staff was patient enough to show me their models and their best prices.
Finally got my glasses, eye exam, and a great smile for less than the others advertise.
They took the time to explain what I could get and the options and prices were always reasonable.
Love my new glasses.
Thanks to Dr. Chang I can see clearly now that the rain is gone!

Just finished my one week check-up and apparently my eye is 80% healed, due to the rigorous treatment I was prescribed. Pretty legit.
Not only did Dr. Tung explain in great detail what had happened and what was happening with my eye, but he's prescribed me "stage 2" of my treatment, and booked yet another follow up appointment for next week.

Seriously, this doctor knows what he is talking about and is crazy thorough in his diagnosis and treatment. So impressed.
