One West Properties

Poor property management company experience. The apartment was in South Granville and our suite was without heat or hot water for over 48 hours (twice in winter), and there was no response or responsibility taken from the company. The plumping is absolutely garbage and there is no intention for the company to fix this. No consideration for tenants and up-keep of the building.
Right in front of a back door is a large empty hole and their solution was to place a piece of plywood over the hazard. Even service people would comment on the hazardous nature of the plywood plank.

Mike and his team really took the time to understand what type of renters we were looking for and I couldn't be happier with the results. Immature and incompetent! Had a terrible experience with One West. While I was living halfway across the world, it was my neighbour who told me that there was a moving van in my drive way! The property manager never bothered to tell me that my tenants were cutting the lease early and moving out. He put his good friends' family in my house for not even a year! Neighbours said that they saw the family with a dog (which was not permitted in my house). I asked the property manager and he lied to my face and said that "he guarantees that there is no dog there". When I went in person,

We used Jeramiah at One West and couldn't have been more satisfied. We live out of country and to be able to find someone to trust, to take care of finding us great tenants and representing our needs meant the world to us. He responded so quickly to all of my questions and requests and was always lovely to deal with. Will absolutely be using his services again.

Rented a suite in Surrey for a year and a half. Mario Brox was the property manager of this location with One West . Mario was extremely professional, responsive and accommodating throughout all aspects of the rental process. Didn't deal with the company much other than my interactions with Mario however if anyone is looking to rent or have their property managed I would highly recommend Mario Brox at One West .

Recently rented an apartment through Mario Brox from One West and had an amazing experience. Mario was very professional and took care of all our needs and questions.

Worst company ever. Don’t trust these people with your property. They don’t do inspections. The renters damaged my property and one west did nothing to help me. They left my door open. They didn’t notice the damage on move out inspection because they didn’t do an inspection. Stay away from this company.

Onewest does the absolute bare minimum as property managers. As landlords we are very disappointed with their service, or lack thereof. Our rep is difficult to get a hold of and when are able to speak to them, the response is perfunctory at best. We do not feel our property is being well managed and would not recommend.

I dealt with Michael Metcalfe through OneWest, and he couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating throughout the whole leasing process. He worked around my busy schedule and was always reachable and helpful when I had any issues or questions. Loving my new place!

As an active Yelp member, it saddens me to write this review because One West Properties has caused me nothing by pain and headache for the entire duration I lived on their property. They were quick to rent me the place but as soon as I signed, Scott Pettipiece completely dropped off the radar.

The property was not even cleaned and professionally vacuumed when I moved in. There were "animal pee stains" on the carpet and "mold" on the ceiling. Scott assured me it will be taken care of, and it was not. I lived in the pee stain place for half a month before getting a cleaner

Same as on Yielp : I've been dealing on the potential tenants side with this company. The viewing was quick and we were ready to give deposit and sign paper on the spot, but we had to send our application on the website instead. After couple days, we sent a message to be sure it has been received, it was. Asked a week later where our application were at, he said "still waiting for the owner to answer". And finally when asked why none of my given references haven't been contacted and that I received no return from them relative to our application, they just went silence.

I live in a property managed by One West Properties for one year and as a seasoned renter in Vancouver, this has been the most unresponsive property manager to date. The move in condition was atrocious. There were "animal-pee stains" in the carpet and "mold" on the ceiling. Throughout the year, repairs went unanswered and I have to pay for my own move-in cleaner. If you are looking for a responsive manager, I would avoid them. There are many other great property management firms in Vancouver.

What a complete joke. We hired One West to handle the property management of our house in Richmond. My family relocated to Vancouver Island and vacated our property at the end of August 2015. The property was shown to several groups and had a lease offer which we accepted in September. The tenants were suppose to move into our house on October 1. From September 1 to October 15, it was very difficult to reach out property manager, string of emails that went unanswered. We continually asked to see a signed copy of the lease agreement and directions if the deposit is held in trust.

I would NOT recommend One West Properties to owners. Complete lack of communication. Unprofessional. Did not hear from them at all after submitting my two month notice to tenants until the day after they moved out. Failed to notify me when they received a 10 day notice from tenants to move out early which affects how much compensation I need to give to tenants.

My fiance and myself have tried contacting One West many times over the last week by phone and email with absolutely no response. Very rude and unprofessional.
