Dr. Mariko Hirano has been a proud member of the Kitchener-Waterloo community for many years, having attended the University of Waterloo for her Bachelor of Science in Honours Science, Doctor of Optometry, and Master of Science in Vision Science. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, with special interests in paediatrics, contact lenses, and sports vision.
Regular eye exams with an optometrist are important whether or not you wear glasses or contacts. Reception - very friendly, welcoming and provided information as I was a first time client/visitor.
Assistant - very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. They helped answer questions I had as well as provided a very smooth "pre-testing" process with the various machines and devices.
Optometrist - very very knowledgeable, friendly/welcoming and communicative. Dr. Mariko Hirano provided a lot of understandable information as I am know very knowledgeable about anything around eye health/care. I would definitely recommend my network to come here in the future.

Dr. Hussen was very knowledgeable, personable and helpful. I had vision concerns that I was a quite anxious about (due to a pre-existing medical condition). Dr. Hussen explained what would be expected in a "worst-case scenario" and illustrated where my concerns/symptoms aligned with that. Overall, I found my appointment with him to be wonderfully reassuring. The wait was not long at all and I was very impressed with the professionalism and interpersonal skills of the entire staff (Dr. Hussen was wonderful, but so was everyone else that I interacted with).

I was very satisfied with my eye exam experience at Conestoga Eye Care. The staff was super polite and helpful in providing the various eye exams and procedures in a timely manner. The Optometrist was friendly, professional, and knowledgable when explaining all the different eye exams detailing lens, eye charts, and any possible medical conditions or issues that may arise in the future. My visit was informative and covid-secure, and completed within the hour. Thank you.
