In December of 1959 Bon Bon Bakery opened its doors at 5807 Victoria Drive by owners Armando and Terersa Burtini who originated from Italy. Their passion to bring Italian baking to Canada was a success. Paolo, their middle child took over the business as it grew. He continued baking his fathers traditional recipes while meeting the demand of customers decorative cakes and tasty new pastries.
The bakery remained in this location for 54 years until Paolo brought the location to 4622 Hastings Street in Burnaby where he is able to keep the legacy alive while expanding his dreams and creating cakes and pastries with its authentic taste and flavor that bring joy to so many.

Nothing special. You get a 8 in square cake with regular Vanilla Cake for the nepoleon and Tiramisu. For 25$ each cake, more effort should be placed into make it look better.
Chinese cakes at T&T market still fair better.
Seriously, blue icing with my birthday name looking like it was done by an Elementary Kid really friggen puts me off.
I am assuming you guys are new Bakery. Your cakes do not tastes fresh. The Texture of the cake, feels like it was premade. It could be a few weeks old.
I Honestly hope, you guys are not making cakes like Dairy Queen where it was premade a month ago. Difference

The cake tastes old and not worth the money.
25$ you get an 8in cake that looks homemade. The blue icing looked so messed up. seriously.... you seriously been in biz for 50 years . Your OL'Man started this joint. Your obviously not a baker like your dad.
It was a tiramisu and a Nepoleon. Seriously, i would think the nepoleon would taste more alcohol in it, but it just taste sweet as hell.
Your cakes taste seriously un-fresh. Even day old shouldn't taste Dry.
You obviously premade the cakes.
I'm pretty upset as these was my choice for my Birthday. You ruined my

Ordered the St. Honoré cake for an occasion, loved it! It's not super heavy due to the sponge cake and light whipped cream. Loved that it wasn't too sweet either. It was $25 for an 8" (10 eclairs/puffs) which was reasonable, and they included a cake message! Would love to order this again, or try some of their other specialty cakes.

First of all, I don't consider this a real Italian bakery because the women working there don't seem very knowledgeable about the products at all.
But I was really shocked that they almost threw out two Italian cheese pies I had only just purchases less than 5 minutes before walking out onto the street to taste the third one I had purchased which was a mini version. Upon buying these I thought they would be savoury because they were on the same row as the ham and cheese croissants and the sausage rolls (this is very Canadian, not at all something you would see in Italy, by the way). The baked goods were actually very delicious and reasonably priced.... I read some reviews before I made my way over and to my surprise the other reviews were right.... the woman working at the front counter was horribly rude. I was ignored for 5 minutes while my friend was served and she then helped a family get their baked goods and stared at me as if I wasn't waiting for her help.
She was being rude to one of the other employees inquiring on behalf of a customer.... disagreeing very loudly in front of customers.
I also noticed for my friend she used tongs to get the items from the showcase

I really appreciate this little bakery, awesome job. I got a custom carrot cake with cream frosting. To be honest I thought the cake was a little dry however, the group loved it. And to top it off the decoration I had requested was hilariously amazing. The picture had come out a lot smaller at first and when I asked them to fix it there was no hesitation. Thanks for always keeping my friends and family satisfied.

Drove past this place and thought I'd check it out and see if they had Lobster Tails aka Sfogliatella. I've had them the other day at Italia Bakery which is a Ten minute drive away and wanted to compare between the two Italian bakeries.
I was greeted by an employee and asked for a Sfogliatella .
E- What? Which one?
Me- Sfogliatella...and pointed right at it..
E- I don't know which you are talking about..
Me-That one right there! I'd like one of those.
I was wondering if I had made a mistake about coming here if they didn't know their own product.
After finally receiving

A cute little bakery in Burnaby.
My mom and I stopped by because we had a cookie craving. They have great baked goods... from pastries to shortbread cookies.
We got some shortbread and chocolate chip cookies. The cookies were awesome! The aesthetics there is also really nice (with marble tables etc.). However, a downside would have to be that you can't really sit inside and relax with a cup of tea.
They don't have regular glass plates (only plastic plates), so that ruins the aesthetic of the place. It's a nice bakery to just pick up some fresh baked goods and take them to-go

This bakery makes the absolutely best and most authentic Italian St. Honore cake in Vancouver. They used to be located on Victoria Drive.
We get this cake for special occasions. We had it for our wedding too! It has layers of pastry, custard and whipped cream and chocolate drizzled on the profiteroles on top. Yum, Yum!
Don't try it unless you are prepared to become addicted! This has been our favourite cake since we got married 20 years ago.

When I drove past this place on Hastings and saw their very attractive pink and brown store front honing and trendy font lettering on the window, I had to go in and check it out. Figured since they put so much effort into making their place inviting that their baked goods must be top notch. Unfortunately not so. I ordered their salted oatmeal cookie, which I found was too salty and dry. Tried the cannoli pastry which seems like it was made of samosa pastry and by the time I got to the apple pie, I was already turned off even though it wasn't bad. There was also this flake pastry I ordered

New place that opened in the ever developing hood. I saw this reviewed on the front page of yelp on January 24, 2015, however, it took me this long to get to the place simply 'cause the only time I am in the hood is when I am at the hair dressers.
Of course all the desserts look good. In fact it's picture perfect in the display. Very reasonable prices. It is sugar heaven.
Customer service was very friendly.

Walked in on an impulse before hitting up the library!
I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and I figured why not?
I'll definitely be coming back. The prices are crazy good. I got a blueberry scone, a cinnamon bun, and a peanut butter cookie for less than $4. Sometimes I pay $4 just for a scone...
There's a lot of variety and everything tastes pretty good!
Really can't complain for the prices.
Looking forward to my next visit :)

We stopped by for the grand opening and were treated to free coffee and pastries. Not satisfied with just creampuffs & canolis, we hit the counter for sausage rolls & crostata (there were about 6 kinds).
The prices are about 1/2 or even 1/3 of what you'd expect to pay at a café. Definitely coming back.
