Our minds release 1000 thoughts per wink of an eye. Some of these thoughts get lost in the unconscious, and some get stuck in the subconscious and affect the conscious mind. These thoughts become feelings, emotions, desires, multi-realities or fantasies. Instead of mastering our mind, often our mind and thoughts direct us, which can cause impulsive decisions, poor communication and self-imposed stress.
Toronto Kundalini Yoga (TKY) is a growing community of Kundalini Yoga Teachers in Toronto and surrounding regions. We are part of the international network of Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) certified teachers who teach and practice Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. If you are a KRI certified teacher and would like to take part in our community by using tools like this website, then we invite you to become a TKY member!
Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is one of the most powerful and effective forms of yoga. It stimulates optimal health and a radiant sense of well being with simple yogic techniques that can be practiced by anyone. Positive effects can be noticed almost right away. Kundalini Yoga helps to balance the energy systems and when the body and mind are at ease, inspiration flows freely and peace of mind is realized.
One of the foundations of a yoga practice is seva, or selfless service. The Toronto Kundalini Yoga Community is building a volunteer resource pool to give back to the community in various ways. Coming to the Toronto Kundalini Yoga meetings that focus on organizing teachers and building community. Yoga Teachers can volunteer to lead meditations, morning Sadhana, or other special celebrations.
Join the local community as we celebrate and honour this Masterful teacher and the yoga and meditations that have uplifted so many people. Take a break from the ordinary and come for the whole weekend for a dose of inspiration based on a legacy of 50 years of kundalini yoga in your home town.
