Went to this yoga studio on Bloor St W for a Yelp event. Walked up a few flight of stairs. The studio was well equipped it had extra yoga mats, yoga blocks and knee pads. The change room/washroom was small but it had everything you need. It had hand towels, hair dryer and cubby holes to store your stuff. The studio space was medium size it could fit at least 25-30 students. Wasn't too sure if it was hot yoga. The room was warm but at the end of the one hour beginner class I didn't break a sweat.

My fav spot in the city for hot yoga! The hot room is huge and bright and spacious and makes me feel like I'm in a fancy NYC studio. There are a wide range of teachers for all styles of yoga, as well as pilates and meditation classes. Teachers are inclusive and accommodating for everyone's unique needs. My only wish is that they had a larger room for non-heated classes. I don't like hot yoga during our sticky summer months and the non-heated room is quite small, so I tend not to go as often during the summer. Otherwise a great space to practice!

New to Union Yoga and a fan. Full transparency, Yoga has taken a lot of dedication as its not something I naturally enjoy. That said, I am learning to incorporate it in my daily practice for all the benefits plus lower impact on my body. In terms, of instructors, Erick and Scotty's classes are amazing! Pilates + Yoga fusion is outstanding. Depending on what you are into there are lots of classes per day - some are very hot (in a good way) and the mediation Yin is relaxing.

The studio is my current obsession, ever since I purchased the one month pass, I've been going at least 3 - 4 times a week. The staff there are very welcoming and there's a great sense of community. Yes some classes will tend to get busy and also when there's a switch in classes you'll see lots of sweaty yogis and shoes everywhere but that's the beauty of the hustle. It doesn't really bother me.

They have a lounge and tea area for you to chill before or after class. Also have bathrooms, showers and a third change room area. They also have filtered water in the washroom

Came here for a hot class on a Sunday afternoon. Never again. The class was so jam-packed beyond capacity that I was kicked in the head by the woman in front of me on a downward dog (she apologized). There is nothing pleasant or relaxing about this studio. It smells of sweat. During my visit, the front desk was disorganized and the situation with peoples' shoes was chaos.

Note to the owners: when you charge $22 for a single class, you need to limit the class size so that your customers can actually enjoy the experience.

I've been coming to the studio since Feb. 2016. I started with hot body tone with Darcy because I wanted something cardio-based. Her class definitely delivers and then some! Since then, I've tried almost all the different classes, including Pilates, flow, and yoga fusion. The variety of classes and their availability will suit most people's schedules.

The environment is friendly, and welcoming. There is no 'attitude' if you've never done yoga before. The discipline is available to everyone, so feel free to come and try out a class!

App makes life simple. Yoga for the iot crowd. Good teachers that skew on the young side. Convenient location so very busy changerooom. Wish they would wipe the floors between the packed hot classes.

Tried out a class here on Good Friday, decided on a Pilates class at noon . Passport to Prana in hand I showed up early, signed the waiver and was given a tour. A very nice studio with showers and change room separate from the bathroom which is convenient!

There is a filtered water station, a hot/warm room and a regular warm everyone was so friendly!

The Pilates class was a full class! It was a fun and friendly class with a great community feel. I don't have anything negative to say.

Hot yoga class with Darcy. This place has a warm community feel, members all seem to know each other and have been practicing together for years. I would say that the level is a bit advanced, they say newbies welcome not sure. I've been going to hot and cold yoga for several years. They didn't ask if I needed mat or towel rental.

Pros
Couch seating for 5 at the front.
Hot water kettle and filtered water in the bathroom.
Friendly staff that took the time to answer phone calls, questions and give tours.
Reusable water bottles in case you forget to bring one, but

I've tried several yoga studios around the west end of Toronto over the years, and this is by far my favourite. Even though I don't normally love hot yoga (which the majority of classes here are), I'm willing to give it a try here, because the teachers and studio are so great. They also have lots of non-hot classes that are awesome. The studio is very calm and beautiful, and not too cramped, and the instructors really focus on proper alignment, engaging your core, and practicing safely. It's not too 'over the top' with the spirituality side of yoga, which I often find

Used to really like this studio but they cram way too many people into the small room blocking the exit which has got to be against fire code. Tried giving feedback about a poor experience via private Twitter message and they read it but ignored it. Taryn is a great teacher and the Flow and Restore class is great as long as you don't mind being claustrophobic.

Having relocated a couple of months ago from Montreal, I was looking for a studio similar to the one I was attending in Quebec. It was not easy, but I found the perfect gem! The studio is participating in the Passport to Prana program ($30 for 1 class in any participating studio across town), that's how I discovered it. I love the vibe there, all the teachers are very knowledgeable and radiate positive energy. They have a great Energy Exchange program, i.e. in exchange for a 4 hour shift per week, you get unlimited yoga classes! Thanks Union!

I have come for a few classes here now (FYI: there is currently a groupon available, $50 for 10 classes). There are 2 studios, a large, airy warm/hot studio and a smaller room temperature studio. I would say this yoga studio really caters to those who like hot yoga, which I didn't realize until I took a better look at their schedule. I'm not really a hot yoga fan and I find the smaller studio a bit cramped (even during weekday day time classes), so it's not ideal for me, but I still have enjoyed warm hatha, flow and restore, and yoga and meditation classes here.

Classes run from early morning to late evening. Good variety of classes.

The instructors have all been good. Even one who was a fairly new (he had taught only four classes prior to the one that I had attended), was creative and interesting. Fellow yoga practioners, aren't pretentious and are generally friendly.

I have a medical situation, that I asked each instructor to keep in mind, modify the programs as needed. They did so, in a way that was encouraging and didn't detract from any of the classes.

Worth trying out.

This is a great place! The classroom itself is a bright open room perfect for doing yoga. The instructors are always encouraging you to smile while pushing your limits and letting you work at your own pace. Love it!

As a self-proclaimed yoga noob (Like, I did some of the free classes at hart house in undergrad) I've always been interested in yoga, but way too shy to attend classes in a fancy studio - everyone always seems so fit and well dressed (lol Like, I don't own yoga pants! Do i have to buy a pair in order to join the club?)

After trying a few classes around the city, I've finally settled on union yoga, a non-pretentious, beautifully decorated, yoga space. Everyone is so welcoming. it's right there on the website that the place is for everyone, yoga noobs and experienced practitioners

Favourite studio I've been to in the city! The space is absolutely gorgeous, the teachers are very encouraging and unpretentious (which I find is usually a problem in Toronto). They listen and encourage to go at your own pace and provide kind adjustments throughout the class. The warm and hot classes are my favourite, especially when the sun is shinning in the big room! They're challenging while still maintaining a fun environment. Love Union Yoga!!
