Services
Our 17th Ave location is located in the inner city and the parking lot in front of the studio does get full. Parking just one block away is the way to go. You will find below some options (where parking is available from marker A to B). Please note that you may park in other businesses stalls in the front parking lot, as long as they are already closed.
We offer a variety of classes to suit your level of experience and practice style. All hot yoga classes are performed in a room that is heated to 42°C and 50% humidity and warm classes are heated to 38°C and 50% humidity. Traditional Hot Yoga is a series of 28 postures performed in a precise order, in a room heated to 42°C to help cleanse the body and warm the muscles.
The yoga and spin room can get quite hot during the class, so dress accordingly, we recommend you wear a lightweight breathable top and shorts or form-fitting pants. Bring along a water bottle to stay hydrated before, after and during your ride. Eat lightly 2-3 hours prior to your class and come to the studio well hydrated.
Align the top centre of your mat with a sticker on the floor. If you're new or need to modify postures, please set up at the back of the room, so you do not distract others. Extra sweaty? Bring in an extra towel to wipe up the floor around you. Yoga is all about being mindful, which is hard to do when you are checking your phone or taking selfies.
REOPENING UPDATE: Memberships that were suspended during our closure will stay paused until you decide to reactivate. If you are having issues booking, please email the studio. Please note prices above do not include GST. All passes are non-refundable and non-transferable.

I was in town visiting and was feeling stiff and out of alignment, so I decided a session of hot yoga was what I needed. I purchased the drop-in offer and was met with the highest customer service and welcoming spirit. The class definitely pushed my boundaries, but it was just what I needed. Came out feeling exhausted yet invigorated. Great place with great people!

Awesome studio! I have been practicing at this studio regularly for over 5 years and have had nothing but great experiences. Friendly staff and instructors. Classes are always fun and diversified. Instructors are attentive to individual levels and always providing good cues and tips for new and experienced Yogi's. Studio is clean and we'll circulated. It's hot, but that's what's up!

I've been to 5+ hot yoga studios in the city, including breathe hot yoga , Calgary hot yoga, soul hot yoga. This class was a bit too hot for my liking. I tried traditional hot with Katie. The room was full which I'm sure increased the temperature of the room and the heat never seemed to lessen, even at the end of class. I've never seen so many people leave a yoga room as they were unable to finish the practice. I suggest lower the temperature towards the end of class to make it bearable. I love hot yoga and been doing it for 2 years and that's the first time I had to sit out

Probably the best studio I have been to yet. Awesome instructors and friendly staff. Very considerate of their customer. They offer a lot fo classes, though they get full fast so get there early and you might have to park a block away since they only have a couple spots reserved in the lot, but their studios are the perfect temperature (make sure you're hydrated before you go) and they give out wet face towels after the classes.

Pros: Clean studio with very professional instruction and proper heating/ventilation equipment to ensure a consistent experience.
Cons: Overfill the rooms and I would say that the prices are starting to get a bit on the high side. They offer essentially two classes (Bikram & a Vinyasa Flow), so wish they would incorporate a bit more variety, personally.
I would add that this is not a beginner's studio. The heat, high student:instructor ratio and fast-paced transitions mean that I would say you need at least a dozen yoga classes under your belt before coming.
Overall, good experience with this

Amazing studio, amazing instructors and an AMAZING staff!!! By far the best yoga studio in Calgary and honestly probably one of the best yoga studio I have been to both in Canada and US. Whether you are looking for a high tempo flow class, a challenging power class, a good stable Bikram or a more relaxing yin, this is the place.

When we first arrived the yoga instructor seemed friendly and helpful. However we soon realized that the heat is too hot at this studio. Although hot yoga can be beneficial for the body, my exercise specialist has warned me about doing yoga in extreme heat causing adrenal fatigue. I didn't feel comfortable and left but was told by the instructor to not leave the class. I continue to enjoy hot yoga at other studios bit will never come back again. Terrible.

The studio is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere to it. The staff are very friendly and kind and the cool lemongrass cloths at the end are fantastic. However, having practiced yoga for over 8 years now, I did not find the traditional hot yoga class to be a genuine yoga experience. The room was too hot for the body to benefit and I found the flow of the poses to be awkward (particularly at the end). The focus seemed to be more on maxing out the physical toll of the body in the extreme heat, though the poses were not particularly challenging.
My personal preference is for slightly cooler classes

Great Studio , excellent teachers... Took at least a month to get used to the heat/humidity , and it is still not easy , but definitely worth the money . Yes , sometimes the classes get busy , but that's because people want to go to this studio . But I can say only about 10% of the time it is really tight ... mostly it is busy but not that tight. And when it is tight, it is more humid so more of a challenge !

This place is in a great location, and the studio is very beautifully decorated. Very trendy. I am happy for this business that they are doing so well but they pack people into those classes in like sardines. The room is SO full that the person next to you is sweating on you as you move. The excuse: "it's like this in India, the mats are always 2 inches apart" yeah but I bet yoga classes are not $18 a pop in India. Furthermore, there is one yoga teacher for ALLLL the students in the room. As a new student you will end up just trying to follow what the person next to you is doing, regardless of

I came home from a hot yoga class last night and thought I'd wait until the blissful peace that comes after that much relaxation passed before writing my review. I figured a good night's sleep would give me time to reflect on whether or not this was a 5-star experience.
I went to their late Thursday class from 915-1030. I had decided on a whim around 730 that I wanted to drop in somewhere for a yoga class. I hadn't been to one in nearly 2 years and needed somewhere to destress. I tried Bodhi Tree's site first, while they did have a class at 9, there was a fail with their online

The yoga studio is very nice and the instructors hold a nice pace and tempo. However, parking is slim, the change room is tiny and the classes are often packed. We're talking 3"-4" between you and the people beside you and 4"-6" between the people in front of and behind you. If you're on foot and like a full studio this is the place for you.

I've visited quite a few yoga studios in Calgary and Hot Yoga on 17th is by far one of my favorites.
Every time I've gone, they've been careful not to oversell their classes (there's nothing that irks me more than mat-to-mat yoga classes with other people's feet in your face). So while it can be busy, there's always enough room that you feel comfortable. You may be close to others, but I've never overlapped with anyone else or touched them. This said, I don't usually catch the classes right after work.
The instructors are good and provide constructive feedback

I recently tried a class at Hot Yoga on 17th and I haven't done a workout *that* hard in a long time.
I tried the Baptiste Vinyasa Flow class and let me tell you - the instructor worked us HARD.
Here are the Coles Notes of the pros and cons:
Pros:
- Great location with parking
- coffee shops with beautiful patios right next door so you can veg. before and after
- Amazing instructors and staff
- Beautiful studio
- Nice locker rooms
- A regular clientele that will inspire and motivate you with their rock- hard, beautiful bodies!
Cons:
- If you're dropping in, the cost is $14-$16/class
