Services
We at the Sackville Dental Centre would like to provide a friendly and caring atmosphere with the highest standards of today's dental care while understanding each person as an individual and working together as a team. Born and raised in Halifax, Dr. Mike was drawn to the science and craftsmanship of dentistry from a young age.
Our office features low-dose digital x-rays including Panorex and cephalometric x-rays so we can best determine the condition of your teeth and jaw structure. Sackville Dental Centre also has an on-staff oral surgeon. Our oral surgeon uses intravenous sedation for removal of wisdom teeth, difficult extractions or other oral surgery.
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that acts as an anchor for artificial replacement teeth. Shaped like a screw, it is surgically placed into the jawbone in order to secure a replacement tooth, a bridge or a denture in place. Implants are stable and permanent and do not rely on neighbouring teeth for support.
Crowns and bridges are common dental procedures. Crowns effectively re-surface or strengthen damaged teeth or implants; bridges are meant to hold an artificial tooth or teeth into place by affixing it to the two neighbour teeth. A crown caps a damaged tooth or implant with a particular substance like porcelain or ceramic.
Root canal therapy is one of the more common dental procedures performed today to save teeth. Technology has revolutionized the procedure for both patient and doctor. Routinely, with this new technology, patient time spent in the chair has been reduced, and the procedure is normally completed in one appointment.

Dentist, Sara Moore,is a wonderful dentist. Very friendly and truly cares about your experience. She kept me updated on each step and explained each sensation I might feel before proceeding with treatment. Was responsive and respectful of my requests. Nice environment aswell. Won't be going to any other dentist any time soon.

Awesome dentist and staff I wasn't a regular patient I left cape Breton in crazy pain to fly back out west they took me in as an emergency and did a root canal on me. I leave for northern Alberta for 2 weeks in 0 pain and it's all because of these people who didn't even have to take me in and I also should mention they were the only dentist open yesterday in the city that I could find.....Thank you
