Dr. Amanda Demsey is originally from Kitchener, Ontario but happily calls Nova Scotia home after pursuing both her undergraduate and dental degrees at Dalhousie. Following graduation, she practiced in St. John's, NL before returning to the Halifax area and joining the team at Nova Dental. Dr. Tesia Rolle was born in Vancouver, B.C. and raised between Nassau, The Bahamas and Halifax, NS.

Sadly I didn't have dental insurance for many years which resulted in multiple issues.
I went one day to get a filling, I could feel some sharpness. Asked for more numbing and was given a small amount, I was still feeling pain and asked for more. I was then told that I would be fine and could pull through. It was then mentioned that I wouldn't be in pain if I had gone to the dentsit sooner and got it looked at then. I was in tears for the entire procedure. Was never asked if I was okay or I would like to take a break.
I already had anxeity when it came to the dentist and after that expereince

My whole family had great experiences with Dr Amanda Miller. She was very patient with my 6yo who had to had removed a baby tooth. My daughter was smiling for the rest of the day after the surgery was over, even if it was difficult and scary for her. Amanda and her team turned it into a great experience. My husband and I had several minor jobs done and everything was perfect. My little 1yo is not thrilled about getting her teeth checked but that’s on her, not Amanda who was always great 😅 The staff is always smiling and being super nice which makes a big difference for me. Dr. Furlong and her team are amazing.
I've had a fear of the dentist from the time I was a small child but she makes my appointments reassuring and comfortable. I trust her and her dental assistant, Allison.... tremendously.
Both are kind, patient, thorough and professional.
Dr. Furlong just took my 81 year old Mom as one of her patients and has taken amazing care of her during her visits. Made her comfortable and at ease.
Simply awesome.
