We are now providing therapy on-line using a Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) compliant and secure platform or by telephone. Appointments will resume, in person, when health conditions improve. I'm very glad that you have taken this first, often difficult step towards finding a therapist to help you.
People turn to therapy for many reasons, and each therapist has a different focus and approach. To optimize your treatment, it's important that you select the person who can best help you, so I encourage you to speak and meet with me, if you feel we may be a good match. My approach is varied, and depends on your specific needs.

Services
Rigorously trained in both hospital and private practice settings, I am able to help you address your individual or relationship needs, whether you find them to be purely psychological, or you require care that is spiritually or faith based. Psychotherapy literally means cure or care of the soul, and can be traced to the ancient Greeks.
Great couple relationships are that way because the people involved have worked hard to overcome the challenges, differences and low points that have arisen over time. They have avoided being trapped in negative cycles of behaviour and the harmful dynamics that can so easily become the norm, or, learned how to nurture and optimally care for themselves and their partner.
My education was completed at the University of Trinity College at the University of Toronto, specializing in psychotherapy, and a two year intensive spiritual care psychotherapy residency at a large teaching hospital in Southern Ontario.
I worked with diverse patient populations in acute care, as well as in a mental health facility which included patients with diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, addictions, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, emergency/crisis counselling, those managing the challenges of chronic illness, and those at the end of life in palliative care.

A strong, trusting therapeutic relationship is key to great therapy, so I invite you to contact me to arrange a complimentary consultation and explore how we can journey together in your healing. Go up the ramp, through the blue door, turn right, and go to the last office on the right at the end of the hall-you'll see a hanging sign for Cedar Creek Counselling.
