Services
ADAPT is dedicated to empowering persons with alcohol, drug or gambling concerns, and their families, to manage these concerns and lead more fulfilling lives through the provision of comprehensive assessment and treatment services corresponding to need. ADAPT provides community education with regards to alcohol use, drug use and/or problem gambling.
Services are available for ADULTS and YOUTH. For information on a specific program for family or friends, please refer to that program selection on the main menu. ADAPT's addiction counsellors provide ongoing support to clients who are struggling with their substance use. We are pleased to offer both harm reduction and abstinence-based approaches to substance abuse issues.
The Adult Core team provides counselling and support to adults 25 years and older who are concerned with their substance use. Counselling services and group support is also available to significant others and family members affected by the behavior of a loved one. Our committed team of counsellors provide access to clinical support services with minimal wait times.
Full assessment of a youth's drug and/or alcohol use and its impact on relationships, education/ employment, legal, leisure, physical and emotional health. A 4-session workshop informs and teaches skills that improve positive, healthy decision-making related to substance use. Parent support is provided throughout the program with referrals for further supports available.
ADAPT offers individual and group counselling/support to those who are affected by someone else's drinking, drug use, or problem gambling. ADAPT has found that the best way for family and friends to gain the support and knowledge they seek is to first attend one of our comprehensive workshops - individually designed with information specific to their concerns.
