Services
Director and owner Stacey-Lea Marhue, has taught dance for a variety of studios, as well as schools for the Toronto District School Board. She enjoys teaching all ages, and choreographing for film, stage and TV. Running a dance studio that offered more than just dance was always a dream of hers. Thus, "The Beaches Dance and Music Studio" was born! "BDM" classes are available to kids teens and adults at all levels.
The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world's most influential dance education organizations. RAD exams set standards in classical ballet worldwide and are a global leader in dance education and Continuing Professional Development for dance. Founded in 1920 to set standards for dance teaching in the UK, today RAD has a presence in 79 countries, with 36 offices and approximately 14,000 members worldwide.
AcroDance is an art form specifically for dancers. Acro has softer, more lyrical looking lines, with the emphasis being on lengthening "through" the tricks and holding pretty balances with interesting variations. In Acro, we teach our students to dance into and out of Acro tricks, with minimal obvious "prep" before and after a trick.
To better serve you, we have a convenient monthly payment system. Our monthly auto-payment system will give you the option of either payments with a credit card or post dated checks. This payment system will ensure a simple, hassle free registration process. There is a two month minimum participation period for all classes.

Beaches Dance and Music Studio is one of those hidden gems for performance art training. It can be a place where the classes are purely for enjoyment and fitness but those looking to broaden their career will find that Stacey and her staff's professional backgrounds can be an incredible asset to a young performer. No matter the reasons for dance and music training, I HIGHLY recommend the studio and all it's instructors. Well done BDM.

Both my son and daughter take classes here. Our older daughter did for four years, but left for college last fall. All of our kids have had good experiences at this studio! My wife and I have no complaints at all about BDM. Reasonably priced and quality instruction. The overall vibe is fun but our kids always come home having learnt something new. Worth it!

We are absolutely loving this studio!
My kids adore the instructors and look forward to lessons every week. As a family we look forward to their end of year dance and music recitals. So much fun, and no stress! The space itself is spacious, clean and a fab location in upper beaches. It seems to be a long standing neighborhood business which is why we were drawn to the studio a few years back. Lots of classes for boys and girls, and music lessons too!
