Red House Music Academy is a music school unlike any other. Some people call it a "School of Rock or Bach" We think of it as a modern, and inspired approach to plain old music lessons. Our rehearsal space, faculty, rock school program, and student concerts have provided us with an outstanding reputation since we opened in late 2009, and now 10 years later, we're still bringing that same inspiration to our students.
On any given day at Red House you might hear somebody learning an AC/DC song on guitar, a drum student trying to master a groove, or a young piano student's first lesson. We offer instruction in Piano, Voice, Ukulele, Drums, Acoustic & Electric Guitar, Rock Band and Bass Guitar. Our faculty is composed of performing and recording professionals that bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our students.

Services
There are no lessons during stat holidays, so students are not required to take lessons then. Lesson fees are to be paid at the beginning of each Semester or time slot may be forfeited. Payment can be made at the school by interac, or credit card. Missed and cancelled lessons must be made up within the month, depending on the availability of the teacher.
How do I get my child to practice and how much should my child, or myself be practicing a day/week?. Part of what has made Red House successful is having our staff motivate students with a weekly practice program and monthly goals. The Holiday Show and Summer Concert are also very effective motivators!

Piano in person or singing over Zoom:
Both is done well, the kids enjoy it and make progress every week.
Personal, very laid back place where it's easy to feel comfortable.
Great and very encouraging teachers!
Lots of reading material while you wait for your little ones.
P.S Green P Parking across the street.

This is the best music school for kids (even bit, grown up ones) in the city. Mike is an awesome guy and all of his teachers are very good at teaching music—even to kids with ADHD and focus issues. I have had all three of my kids take lessons here and I would highly recommend it. All of them had a chance to join a band and create their own music, as well as perform in front of a love audience at a local music venue. It brings me so much joy to see them growing up in such a healthy, supportive musical environment where they can tap into and become their creative and musical self.

I have been learning guitar with Michael and it has been an exceptional experience. Having picked up the instrument for the first time at 30 years of age was always going to be a challenge but working through the basics with Michael has been a lot of fun!
I have recommended this place to many friends and will recommend it for everyone - age no bar!

My kids and I have been coming here for a year or so. The teachers are great and the school is well run. We all have a great time and have learned a lot about music and how to play guitar, piano etc. We look forward to our lessons every week.
I always wanted to play but never had the time. The truth is, you have to make it a priority or you will never do it. This is a great place to start. I have learned so much and now I can actually play a guitar. Move over Beethoven.
