We are had an amazing experience with Brigid Wong purchasing our first family home. The market was tough, but Brigid was responsive, well-prepared, punctual and very knowledgeable about her industry. Jordan Ballantyne was our primary realtor and he was great! Always responded quickly, Answered all of the questions we had as first-time-homebuyers and scored us the place we wanted quickly! He really went above and beyond in his customer service and made us feel very taken care of. :) We had only one point where there was a small misunderstanding but it was cleared up very quickly and easily! 2 days after my mother's funeral, Graeme Lin of Oakwyn Realty visited our family home - empty-handed and unannounced. Mr. Lin offered his condolences, claimed that his mother was "friends" with our mother, said he was a realtor and offered his "help". Somehow, I don't think he was offering grief counselling. Then, Mr. Lin proceeded to ask who was now living in the house and what our "plans" were.
Some people may like an aggressive realtor like this. Just my opinion, but I don't like dealing with ghouls and vultures or any persons they may represent

They have a very unprofessional approach on EVERY STEP of the renting process. First, the lady that supposed to show us the unit wasn't there and sent another person, that arrived late (not her fault, I think).
We applied for the unit, they made some calls to all references, to our landlady, did the credit score, asked for paychecks, asked for account statements, etc.
Today they have approved us! 2 hours since the approval, they said that happened a miss communication, and another couple signed the contract just minutes before us.
WHAT?! Is this a lottery?! Why they have more than one application

I hired Oakwyn PM two years ago, and recently ended our agreement due to pandemic and my tenant moved out without notice.
During the time they were "managing" my apt: 0 mail forwarding, 0 PPT management follow up / communication and caused over $500 overdue fine + unnecessary taxes paid while they are "managing" my studio.
When emailing them about this situation, respond saying it's not their responsibility.
During Pandemic the tenant ran away on me. Oakwyn PM informed me after the tenant had already gone. they did not do anything other than talking me out of getting any $ from the tenant, even

Discriminatory practices
We were refused a viewing for a rental unit because my friends and I, who have known each-other for over 10 years, weren't a "Professional Couple" or "Family". This is discriminatory in my opinion.
We are working professionals, who don't smoke, or even have pets. It is disturbing to feel that we don't fit into what Oakwyn view as appropriate renters. In the LGBT community often time your friends become your family, as many of us don't have other options. If these people aren't my "Family" then I don't know what is.

We had a great experience with Oakwyn .When we found our ideal home unexpectedly Robin and Rikka at Oakwyn downtown were able to help us buy it and sell ours in less than a month! Their highly efficient approach and excellent contacts got us the perfect buyers with Robin negotiating our contracts seamlessly. The whole thing was so stress free and we bought and sold for the best possible prices which left a nice little renovation budget for our new place. They also surprised us with a beautiful gift on moving day and continued to follow up after the move had we any lingering concerns .Total class
