Ocean Resort Hotel and event centre is truly a gem of Vancouver Island. The resort is located just minutes from Campbell River and Comox airports. Ocean Resort, located just south of Campbell River, features 27 beautiful standard hotel rooms, a spacious one-bedroom suite and 2 bedroom Ocean House. Our room decor is crisp and clean with a cozy feel. Designed with guest comfort in mind, every room is appointed with wood flooring, hypoallergenic duvets and Purely Saltspring Amenities.
Ocean Resort is an ideal space for your retreat or event, that is designed to facilitate personal growth, transformation and/or wellness for your participants. You will enjoy meeting space permeated by natural light, high speed internet, audio-visual equipment, and assistance from staff, committed to meeting your retreat needs.
Available to groups and events only. Our unique Ocean event Centre has a west coast feel with a touch of the orient to make it interesting. It is situated on the waterfront and offers views of Desolation Sound and the Coastal Mountains. The event centre houses the sanctuary, dining room, meeting facilities, and the fitness facility.
Ocean Resort is located in Oyster Bay, just south of Campbell River near Saratoga Beach. Guests traveling from Nanaimo (150km) or Victoria (265km) will follow Island Highway 19 North and take Exit 144 (Hamm Rd/Miracle Beach exit) and follow the road until you reach Highway 19A (the Old Island Highway).

I am reviewing this as a guest and as someone in the short term rental industry.
The manager was extremely rude, the sheets and bed are terrible. You have to plunge your own toilet and they plug all the time. The rules are ridiculous if you get any makeup on the sheets or body oil you will be charged.
Beautiful place to stay, but the staff needs a whole overhaul or to learn some customer service.
I honestly felt that they called themselves and eco friendly hotel so they didn’t have to do as much work.
If you do go for the beauty of it or the retreat, bring your own sheets and pillows.

Second time staying her and we enjoyed our stay we arrived from a family BBQ late and it was nice a quiet so we were able to put our baby to sleep without outside disturbances. The property is one of our favorites, just steps away from the beach and friendly staff, nice comfy and clean rooms... We hope to stay again sometime before the end of summer and enjoy the property a bit more 😀

This place has lost its mind. 25 minimum age check-in. I've been taking care of myself, working and living independently for years but I can't check into a beach motel? I don't under why it's even legal to discriminate against age like that even though you are legally an independent adult in BC at 19 years of age. Extremely disappointed and a bit angry, I was getting pretty excited to stay here for awhile but I guess not anymore. Good job guys, good job 👍

A lovely little place right on the beach!
We booked a second floor room with a balcony, which was as the right choice! A view of the yard and ocean from the patio doors and bed. Super friendly staff who were helpful at every turn.
The beach is a combo of sand and pebbles, with lots of places to sit and even some afternoon shade!
The room itself wasn’t overly spacious, but clean and cozy. It’s not swank, but perfectly beachy resort!
We would come back in a heartbeat!

Very clean and simple accommodations facing the big grassy yard and the beach looking out toward the east. You can even build a fire. Dogs are allowed with leashes on. Very friendly and helpful. Seems to have newer furniture, appliances, flooring, and paint. Relaxing.
It was so nice to stay here that it was starting to feel like home! We appreciated its simplicity, cleanliness, and modern accommodations. Even though the name is Resort, it is a very quiet and serene environment. Even when the hotel is full you hardly see anyone around. If you appreciate nature and don't need a lot of amenities
