Red WIng's Taslan Laces are built using the original taslan construction process to prevent pilling and provide superior durability. The braided laces add a unique look to Heritage boots and shoes alike. Red WIng's Flat Waxed Laces are made with cotton and coated with liquid wax for increased durability.

I went to Sole Survivor last year for a heel repair on a pair of boots. I saw their reviews and said "what the heck, let's give cobblers a try." I dropped them off Mid November of 2020 and received them in March 2021. I was told it would take 6 weeks and understood, but then was asked if I could wait until January. Okay, sure. January came and I received no news, so I messaged. No responses. "Hmmm... maybe they're just really busy and in times like these I do want to support local businesses. I'll wait a bit more before I message again". Begining of February came, and nothing from Sole Survivor

Very impressed with the quality of the work and the great communication especially with a unique, no in-person experience because of the pandemic. I felt that everything was addressed and there was communication with me via text throughout the process to ask questions, confirm what I wanted, etc. The prices were also on par with other places that quoted me for the work. I would highly recommend Sole Survivor!

I have owned a pair of Timberland boots for nearly 30 years. They have served me well and I have used them in 5 continents. However the sole started breaking apart. I searched the Timberland site to see if they had a repair service. No such luck. However, Sole Survivor, in Toronto rose to the challenge and completed my repairs in time for my continued travels. The COVID situation has rendered new measures, which actually made the drop off and retrieval process much more convenient. The finished product is amazing. and their turnaround time was astounding. The new soles have made my boots virtually

I sent my old Birkenstocks to be resoled, and was so pleased with the excellent and attentive customer service I received. The soles are terrific and they even polished up the shoes and put sealant on the corks. I mailed the shoes from here in Nova Scotia, and they were mailed back quickly. Very happy with the Sole Survivor team!

This was my second time bringing high quality heels in to be cleaned up and repaired, excellent quality and workman ship done. I agree with another reviewer, communication around turn around time would be greatly appreciated especially if there will be delays (understandable with covid restrictions). On both occasions I needed to phone them well past the turn around time to receive an update. However, based on the professionalism, craftsmanship, and the fact that it is a female owned/operated business I will only bring my leather goods for repair at Sole Survivor.

The work done on my boots appear to be pretty good. I’m no cobbler but they certainly look great. But it took 10 weeks to get my boots back and I couldn’t get ahold of Sole for awhile which worried me. I would have preferred someone reaching out to me after the 4 week mark to let me know this initial ETA wasn’t going to be met. The lack of communication was bad but the work done was great and they apologized with some new laces and polish.

Sole survivor is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I cannot even stress this enough, if I could give them 10 stars, I would.
Their price is reasonable and the staff is very talented and kind. They have incredible customer service - they accommodated my picking up my shoes at awkward hours since I am an essential worker that rarely gets time off. On top of that, they did an amazing job at adding zippers and resoling my beloved vintage made-in-england Doc Martens - they even polished it and gave me new laces on the house! I couldn’t believe what I saw when I picked it up, I essentially got a brand new pair
