I took my $1200 Viberg snuff suede boots here for cleaning and they said they would be able to do it. I asked if the cleaning would affect the colour of the boots and the employee absolutely guaranteed it would not.
When I called them today to inquire if the boots were ready to pick up, they replied saying they had lost the boots and were still looking for them. This was an instant red flag for me. Eventually, they found my boots and I was told quite rudely to come and pick them up.
I picked them up this afternoon and the boots are ruined. The suede is destroyed and there is a large stain on

Critical: Professionalism
Customer service is bad. They didn't call me when my boots were ready- I told them to call instead of text, which they didn't do. Also, they closed for a week without any message on their website or phone.

Best cobbler I've been to in the city and the only place I recommend. I generally only need my heels resoled and they've done a great job each time.

Terrible experience. Asked IF they are able to DYE a leather belt as well as add a new belt hole, they confidently said yes. I dropped it off, asked that they put special care in maintaining the leather softness as best they could, they told me that when the person who will work on my belt got a chance to look at it, I would get a call telling me what they intend to do. Never got the call. Called to find out it was "ready", turns out they painted it with what appears to be ink, they only did HALF the belt, there were creases and bends that were not there before, AND they didn't put in any buckle

Great service and quality repair. Had previously gotten my boots repaired downtown at their sister location and the sole was not glued properly. Took these to Nicks and they fixed for free. They also will text you when your shoes are ready which is nice.

I dropped my Birkenstocks off for a half resole near the heel as I was wearing into the cork. Very happy with the results! It took about a week and it was around $40 with tax. I'll definitely be back for repair of my other pairs of footwear.

Completely revitalized my favourite pair of boots. Higher quality work than I've experienced elsewhere. Not the cheapest repair shop on earth, but much more affordable than constant replacement for those of us who are hard on heels; and the quality matches price in my experience. Convenient hours and location with fast turnaround.

Did a really nice job putting a new sole on an old pair of docs and replacing a zipper on another boot. Boots were polished/blacked and looked new upon return along with extra treatment on the welt stitching it seemed. Also threw in extra laces when the ones I bought first were too short which was a nice surprise. They were communicative, professional and the repair process was easy. Will come to them for any future shoe repair needs.

I got the protective soles put on my Christian Louboutin heels as well a small repair to the ankle strap on a pair of Jimmy Choos. The quality of work was astounding! Will only take my shoes here from now on. Customer service was amazing and I love that they will repair anything they work on free of charge if there are any issues in the future. If you have Christian Louboutin's, this is the only place suggested by them to do repairs.

I have never used Nick's. But this is my experience by asking simple questions. I asked about complete rebuild of my dress shoes (new soles, heels, cork, and welt etc). I also asked for JR soles.

So the shop has never heard of JR soles. They are the preferred brand for premium men's shoes.

When I asked if they would replace the cork, welt etc.... I was met by silence. They had no clue about what I was asking.

My friend used them for a rebuild. The stitching on the sole was not inside of a groove.

I would not use this place to rebuild men's dress shoes.

Nick's is one of those rare Toronto businesses that make you feel the world has not gone to #$%@: they do what they say they're going to do, well and fast. Usually a week turnover.

As a repeat customer of Nick's at least 10 times, I've only ever been charged reasonable prices for proper, solid fixes of my beloved shoes. They always look like years of new life have been bestowed onto them.

I've only dealt with the staff person with the glasses and goatee, and he is down to earth and couldn't be easier. I'm in and out and on my way, each time.

I have experimented

I have a spinal problem which means I buy tons of shoes that I can't end up wearing. I brought in a pair of very expensive boots to nicks last fall, to see if they could do something, anything, to make them more comfortable for me. I was going to throw them out! The happy ending is that they managed to fix The boots so well, they became my favourite pair of shoes. Now I'm about to bring all of my other 'problem shoes' in for the same treatment. I am incredibly pleased.

I went to Nick's for two reasons. The location is convenient to my house, and their Yelp rating is high.
I brought in a new leather belt which required an extra hole. I was prepared to pay but he told me there was no charge for adding a hole to my belt. Service like this is unheard of these days. If I have any shoes or leather goods in need of repair I will surely be returning. Even tho I'm moving out of the neighbourhood I'll gladly drive the distance as these guys impressed me with this simple gesture. 100%!

I am so glad I listened to my gut and waited to come here. Thanks to Yelp once again for not failing me.

I recently purchased a pair of FRYE boots after years of hesitation and contemplation, I took the plunge and bought a nice pair of black leather boots ($500.00 value). At the time of purchase they were on sale, and just barely zipping over my calf, literally by less than half an inch. I was told by the sales people that shoe shops offer boot stretching services, and so I went ahead and bought the boots.

After reading reviews, blogs, and searching high and low, I was determined to go to Nick

In an effort to repair and not replace my shoes, I started taking some worn out boots and shoes here. They are brilliant. They not only fixed what's broken, they cleaned them up too. For one pair, I asked them to fix the heels. It was going to cost $100 so he suggested a $25 solution which worked perfectly. Very pleasant staff.

I have a nasty tailor's bunion which makes most dress shoes extremely uncomfortable. Nick made me a pair of custom dress shoes. They fit perfectly. Most comfortable dress shoes I have ever owned.

Oh my precious shoes .... How I love you.

Thanks to Nick, all of my beautiful collection are wearable. Whether they are being stretched, taken in, resoled, zippers replaced, heels repaired, etc. Nick is the only person I would trust with my beloved Fluevogs.

Same for luggage. He has never let me down.

My pair of boots needed a sole protector with grip and of course, I want Vibram soles. I was quoted $75+tax. I was very happy as the shop owner was very informative with what options he has to offer. He gave me samples of what sole protector I can use for my boots. Speaking of service and quality, this shop is very reputable for it and that's why I went to this one as it got so many positive reviews on Yelp!

Nick is the real deal. I have a pair of $400 boots that were attacked by a cat. This little devil destroyed them. I had only worn them 5 times or so and they were 3 months old. I originally took them to that leather man on Davenport but he doesn't do shoes so he recommended Nick's.

This place is amazing. Firstly, he did an amazing job fixing the boots - glued down torn pieces, filled claw holes with wax and then rubbed them down. Do they look BRAND new? No - because they were destroyed but they look great and wearable! And I thought that I'd be getting rid of them. For

I needed the zippers replaced on my leather boots. Another place charged me $50 to have one of the zippers replaced last year. Here they explained to me why this was happening and charged me only $90 to replace both zippers. The heels also needed to be replaced on the boots. The prices are very fair and they are very friendly and honest. They cleaned and shined the leather boots up for me at no additional charge. They looked almost new after they were done with them. It was money well spent and would definitely recommend.

Almost 10 years ago, I purchased two pairs of boots from the Fluevog store. My eyes loved them but my feet did not. I wore them a few times but found that the hard leather soles left my tender tootsies in agony by day's end.

Still, I couldn't bear to throw them out. They lie dorman for years on end, in my parents' closet, until one day I might find a way to make them wearable.

And Lo, I came upon Yelp, who recommended Nick's. A quick call to the Fluevog store confirmed that this might be the place where I could get my boots re-soled in Vibram, so that I might enjoy the awesome

This is the go-to place for Blundstones. I called the Australian Boot Co. because of split soles in my 10 year old Blunnies (I thought they'd NEVER wear out), and they recommended Nick's.

For 85 bucks all in, they re-soled them in a week, and they did a great job (see pics). He (Nick?) told me "if ANYthing goes wrong, bring them back ANY time".

(They also make boots here. They'll duplicate any pair you want from a picture.)
