Mateo Shoes has the best selection of shoes and the service is superb. Toni, the owner, knows her shoes, and what I really like is that she is honest about how the shoe fits and looks on me! Toni truly cares about her customers and goes above and beyond to be of assistance. If you can't get to her store, order on line or do curbside pickup. This store deserves your attention and your business.

Buying shoes is not just about finding the right style. It can be difficult to find shoes that are the right fit, the sales person here was extremely knowledgable and helped me find shoes that were the perfect fit, comfortable and matched my style. What a great store! I’ve been shopping at Mateo’s for years, but I live in Ottawa now and they were able to deliver a pair of waterproof Le Canadienne boots. I called to place an order & Ibelieve I was talking to the owner, who was patient and extremely knowledgeable about the shoes. Received the shoes in 2 days 👍🏼 For sure a customer for life!

This place never disappoints, couldn't wait until the store reopened as I desperately needed a few pairs of shoes.
I was so excited when I heard Mateo was finally open yesterday so I went to buy some new shoes... One in particular I need to share is Brand Name Hogl, they are three inch heels, beautiful and honestly feels like I'm walking on a cloud.
I have been buying shoes from Mateo for years and almost all the shoes I try fit like a glove.
This store is one of the few places I can go to as I have a wide foot and they really accommodate.
During Covid, I have bought so many shoes online but

I walked in today (I had an appt at another store, but I was window shopping). I needed a new pair of shoes. When I walked in, the salesman ignored me and stared at his phone the entire time I was in the store.
I walked out and as I was walking away, he looked up and gave me a very nasty look. I looked back and shook my head, silently chastising him for his rude treatment of me and his faulty assumption that I would not spend any money.
No wonder this store, which was peppered with 30% off signs, was empty if this is how you treat prospective customers.
I'll go somewhere else.

I don't often read reviews of retailers that I shop at because I usually just happen upon a gem like Mateo. Instead, I prefer to write a review afterwards and this is one that I am eager to put out there. I worked in the building one day this week and had done a lot of walking. There was a boot in Mateo's window that just seemed to call out my name, though I wasn't even really looking. One of the women who worked in the store was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and sold me on the comfort and durabability almost immediately. I will now make Mateo a destination spot for footwear

The Manager at this store is extremely rude and the products are low quality and extremely over priced. The customer service I received from this store was horrible. I had purchased an extremely expensive pair of shoes less than a year ago and within 8 months the sole of the shoe was falling apart. The Manager of the store took no ownership and refused to help me fix the shoe. As well, he was extremely rude in discussing it and flat out told me that I was wrong and any damage of the shoe was my fault for not wearing it properly. I will definitely never be shopping at that store again.

What a hidden gem this is. My grandma introduced me to this place and told me I had to come here for the shoes. I didn't expect much, because it's hard to find nice, high quality, brand name shoes, but I was blown away. I had been looking for a pair of comfortable strappy sandals, and I found them here for an unbelievable price (they happened to be on sale). I also picked up a pair of really comfortable MK flats (I had never seen these in an MK store or others). My mom came later that day and found a really nice pair as well, also happened to be on sale because it was end of the season
