At Star Dance Academy, we offer a variety of classes to suit your dancer's every need. All of our students are trained by certified teachers and most classical classes follow the RAD or BATD syllabus. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, family-friendly environment that aims to enrich the lives of children - through helping them develop confidence, teamwork, discipline, creativity, and much more.
From our three-year old Twinkle Toes, to our recreational students, to our seasoned Competitive dancers, all students are treated like part of the Star Dance Academy family and are provided equal opportunities to learn and grow as dancers. Services
Established in 2000, Star Dance Academy has quickly become a leader in dance education in Scarborough. The studio provides dance training opportunities to dancers of all ages and abilities. At Star Dance Academy, we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, family-friendly environment that aims to enrich the lives of children - through helping them develop confidence, teamwork, discipline, creativity, and much more.

My daughter has been dancing here for 3 years. She enjoys taking ballet and jazz. The teachers are caring and friendly.
To maintain the professional nature of the studio, we ask that all students and parents adhere to our studio policies and code of conduct. The first 10 minutes of class are crucial for a proper warm up and stretch in order to avoid injury. If your dancer is not well enough to participate in class, we ask that they stay and watch the class.
Our ballet programs begin as early as age three, and continue until our students are qualified to take their Professional exams. Students in this discipline train under the RAD syllabus and have the opportunity to take their exams. Examinations are a vital part of a child's progression in dance as well as in everyday life.
For our competitive program dancers learn a routine that complies with the rules of each competition. The dancers perform their number once at each competition - our studio typically competes in three competitions each year. The judges are usually professional dancers who provide valuable feedback to the studio in audio or video form.

My daughter has been doing dance now 3 years, and is loving everything about it. The staff is so inspiring to all the students, it is such a pleasure to be apart of The Star Dance Academy, Scarborough . The hard work the students and teachers put out, makes the shows at the end worth every moment. I would recommend Star Dance Academy, Scarborough, thumbs up all the way

My daughter has been dancing here for 3 years. She enjoys taking ballet and jazz. The teachers are caring and friendly. The best thing is the huge viewing windows. I can see my daughter for the whole class, unlike our previous studio we’re we had to watch from a tv screen. I learned about this studio from a friend and we have never looked back. A well kept secret in Scarborough!
