Services
The HydroBike gives you a real biking on water experience with the ocean, lake, or river, at your feet. HydroBikes go faster, ride easier, maneuver better, and give you freedom to travel your favorite waterway like never before. You can explore more places, experience a new kind of fun and fitness on the water, and provide many years of enjoyment for your family.
Minutes from our dock you will find yourself right in the middle of English Bay. A beautiful bay of water surrounded by views of downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, and the north shore mountains. English Bay is a spot loved by everyone both on and off the water. Coal Harbour is located right in Downtown Vancouver and is home to Vancouver's main port.
No. you don't need a boating license to rent a boat. If you don't have a boating license we can provide you with a temporary license for the duration of your Vancouver boat rental. The areas to explore are endless, but there are boundaries. The boundary to the west is Bowen Island (17km away) and the boundary to the east is Indian Arm (27km away).
Please keep in mind that Granville Island gets very busy on weekends and holidays so it is a good idea to arrive an hour before your rental to ensure you have enough time to find a parking spot etc. Drivers may purchase parking time for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or in 1-hour increments. By using either the Honk, EasyPark or PayByPhone app, drivers may add time without having to return to their car.
I know that you went out of your way to provide us with a boat to rent that day, and to let you know that we really appreciated what you did. To those interested in renting a boat at Granville Island, I would highly recommend Granville Island Boat Rentals. The equipment is basically new and service is very courteous and professional.

The hydrobikes are a great way to get out onto the water when the boats are fully booked. Its nice and relaxing, and a little bit of exercise too. However staff are apparently not always at the Vancouver Boat Rental Kiosk, and I had to call them over from their Granville Island Boat rental office to have someone come and rent out a bike to me. Once arrived, they were very friendly and I had a great time with my friends. Its a fantastic way to see False Creek in a new perspective.

Had a broken boat owners wouldn't own up to it had to argue about getting any sort of compensation. There's alot of better places than this.

Called at 4:45pm and asked if they had any hydro bikes available, even though they closed at 6pm. They welcomed us and we were on the water by 5:05pm and they gave us an extra 15 minutes passed their closing time. Don’t know about their boat rentals, but for the water bikes, this place was great!

Quite impossible to make a reservation! First you fill out an online form with your credit card info before you can even confirm availability, so someone will have to contact us to let us know if our reservation went through- apparently we're in the 1990s. Well, we received no e-mail or phone call after a day of waiting, so we tried calling about 15 times over the course of 24 hours, and no one ever picked up. The answering machine said to leave a voicemail, but of course this backwards place has a full mailbox.

This is a ghost company..........They do not answer emails or phone calls. No one was physically there at 11AM. Do not waste your time and count on them for your fun activities.

Dude, I came from Toronto. It’s long weekend Sunday. The website says they are open, google maps says they are open. I couldn’t get ahold of any one by phone. Sorry but you gotta have info on your closures.

I recently rented a boat with these guys and had a great time. I rented a boat for 3 hours to go to the Seal Colony. There were tons of seals there and we even spotted some dolphins on the way back. I would really recommend renting with Vancouver Boat Rentals - great boats and great price.
