Once they gave us 16ft broken boat. I didn’t realize it right a way, so it was dangerous ride for my friends and me. Boat was randomly accelerating every time I reach speed 34km/h. Just was adding the speed really fast by itself, on top of these 34km, absolutely uncontrollable and dangerous. I had to do emergency stop every time not to fly away. Guys didn’t offer us refund for this scary experience.
Then I rented more expensive 18ft boat from them and it was good.

This is the first time I have rented from this company. I rent boats every year and have used 2 other Vancouver companies. This one is by far the best. They have nice boats and an excellent staff. They run a very smooth operation. What attracted to me to this company was the ability to book a boat on line. It is a very slick operation. Plus all the boats have GPS so if you have an issue or breakdown they know exactly where you are. Can't wait to come back! What an awesome experience. So glad I rented from here.

I had a wonderful experience here as it was my first time on Granville Island and the boat rental was byfar the most enjoyable part. We booked online well in advance which was a simple process. We received email confirmation of our ticket and instructions to arrive 30 minutes early.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff immediately. I have to say the interactions I had with the staff really improved my overall experience. They were extremely friendly, polite, and professional. We filled out some paper work and watched an educational video to obtain the temporary boat license. The staff

We didn't get the exact boat size that we wanted due to the high demand this time of the year. However, the staff were very nice and courteous. As a side note, the waves in the open were too rough for us and we returned early, but we still enjoyed the experience. We should probably have rented a slightly bigger one next time, larger than 18ft, for instance.

Me and my friends were looking for something fun to do in summer. Glad I found Granville Boat Rentals. Take note, you do not need any previous boat driving experience to book with them. They just need Drivers License and all necessary safety orientation and a quick run through of the boat operation will be provided. Check out their FAQ page so that you know what to expect and what to bring.
Booking online was easy and straightforward. Getting there is easy. There are paid parking nearby. From the parking lot, it was just a few mins walk. I was greeted right away as soon as I entered. The video

What an absolutely wonderful experience. Easy, straightforward online early 5hr for 4hr boat booking. The entire staff were very professional, friendly took thier time to explain the 18 ft boat. The waters and rest areas along the route to Indian Arm. The price was quite reasonable and the boat was in very good condition, safe, easly strong enough for the currents. Will be returning here for my next boat rental. Definitely will recommend.

This place is great, the staff are excellent. I would have gave 5 stars but the boat died at the end of my trip and I had to be towed back in. They did make up for this error which was fitting. Under normal conditions my rating would be much lower due to the failure but they handled everything very well and the staff are excellent. This is a great day for a family outing.

Tried to book online, received an email 10 hours later letting me know that the boat I had requested was not available, but the 17ft boat was available. I let them know we would take the 17ft boat instead. I received an email the next day saying “We actually don’t have the 17ft boat available anymore because it’s first come first serve.” So basically, there is absolutely no point in reserving online because there is no organization here at all. Really unimpressed!

Rented from this company for a Saturday morning. We thought it was priced well, and we had a great time out on the water. That quickly ended when we returned and were told that we got too close to some rocks and took a nick out of the propeller. While we indeed get closer than we should have (their awareness system was not working,) we did not make… contact with anything in the area. We were then charged a repair even though you could clearly see the “new damage” in the picture we took before we left. Just letting everyone know that if you do rent from them, be sure to take very

Loved the place. People working here are nice and guide you perfectly. We always wanted to do something like this and this summer it was the perfect time to do it. The prices are really affordable. We took the boat for 2 hours and made around trip from the light house. I would say to take the boat for atleast 3 hours or more if you want to enjoy more places. This is one of those activities which should definitely be done when in Vancouver downtown.

I took a boat out with my friend that was visiting from Scotland, we had such an awesome night! We were given all the information needed to feel comfortable driving a boat (we were both a little worried). They even gave us blankets. We went to the seal colony and it was beautiful. Thank you Aiden and Emma!

A fun activity to enjoy around Vancouver! Instructions provided were great, boat that we got to rent was clean and just right for a group of 5 of us. Woulda been a great experience I'd return for .. except..
Staff got their bits in a knot when we made our way back and were only a few minutes late to return the boat. In an area where you're not… supposed to be speeding through at the pier. And then telling us off like we were kids who stole your boat, "what are you guys doing driving in so slow! You're late! We have customers waiting! Please get out of the boat as soon as possible!" Perhaps
