At Dr. Miller & Dr. Tilis Family Optometry, our providers and staff members work hard to make sure that you have a positive experience every time you visit the eye doctor. We offer eye exams for the whole family, including children, teens, adults, and seniors. During each stage of life, our eyes have different needs, and our providers will make sure to assess any potential concerns at each visit.
Dr. Tilis and Dr. Miller have worked in the Newmarket area for 18 years between them and would like to extend a warm welcome to new and former patients. The focus of our practice is on exceptional individual personalized care for the whole family in a friendly environment, utilizing leading edge technology and longer appointment times to ensure great vision for today and for tomorrow.
There are a number of benefits involved with going to any type of business that offers comprehensive services. It is a real time-saver for one thing, not to mention the benefits of dealing with someone who knows your family's history. That is why we are intent on offering a broad range of optical services.
The Canadian Association of Optometrists suggests ANNUAL eye health and vision examinations for all children, adults over forty, contact lens wearers, and for those individuals with medical conditions or with family history that can affect your eye health. All other patients should be examined every two years.
At Dr. Miller & Dr. Tilis Family Optometry, we are pleased to offer adult eye exams in order to ensure the best in eye health for our patients. Although you may think that you only need to see an optometrist when you are experiencing vision problems, the truth is that it is recommended that adults have an eye exam every year.

Should be a way to give zero stars. Called here today and the receptionist should have just said "We don't want your business". She was quick to give me Dr Ho's number and I am so glad she did. Joanne over at Dr Ho was awesome! Dr Tillis' receptionist seemed to have been in a hurry to get back to her friends, with all her giggling. Well, she can't really busy with all these bad reviews on here...I had high hopes for this place. I always drive by and think of going...oh well.

Dr Miller is a very caring doctor. She takes the time and consideration with every visit i've had and my entire family. My 21 month old is having eye issues and she was very caring when treating her and sent us to the best specialist to deal with the issues and is extremely patient when we have visits. She is also very understanding. I would highly recommend Dr Miller.

This place and the Dr is the best I have EVER experienced. Through their caring , compation, taking their time to explain and focus truly on your best interest. They are there for you . My husband's situation was extremely difficult as he is diabetic and really didn't care much as he's workaholic, he almost could loose his eyesight . No other Dr could convince him to really taking care of his health and his eyesight, but, this clinic they helped him to change his lifestyle and really understand. I am so grateful. Echoing the other reviews. I’ve gone here for years for my annual appointments and glasses. Made an appointment two weeks ago and just got a call to “confirm” my appointment, and was told because my work’s benefits are through manulife they cannot serve me and encourage me to source someone who will. Didn’t seem to matter my husband has benefits elsewhere and I could afford out of pocket. No need to bring your patients into billing disputes, and a courtesy call ahead of time is truly the least that could have been done here and wasn’t.

Dr. Tilis was very helpful, and professional. She clearly explained the process throughout the appointment, making it easy to understand. She was very personable, and works great with children. The reception desk employees were friendly and welcoming via phone and in person. The office layout has modern design with great glasses to choose from. You won't be disappointed!

I can’t thank Dr. Tilis and her staff enough for such a wonderful & easy appointment. I’m visiting from the US and needed an appointment ASAP. They took my phone call eagerly and I was seen immediately. The front desk staff was so sweet and accommodating. The office is very clean with up to date decor. Dr. Tilis made me feel so comfortable during my exam and was extremely professional yet personable as well. Thank you so much for making me a priority at such a last minute!

I originally saw Dr Tilis in March of 2018 for what i thought was an emergency turned out it was not. She explained what was going on with my eye and what i could expect to have happen. I liked Dr Tilis so much that when it was time for new glasses a year later i decided to go see her again instead of my regular clinic. My spouse and i both had a wonderful experience with the entire team. Dr Tilis was thorough and explained everything that our eye exams showed and gave us tips on improving our eye health. When it was time to get our new glasses, the team was very helpful with frame suggestions

Dr. Tilis is INCREDIBLE! She goes above and beyond for her patients. She is personable, gives honest and helpful opinions and ensures you are always leaving the clinic satisfied and happy! I consistently recommend her to everyone. The clinic itself is so warm and welcoming. I always am helped to the best of their abilities and never left without answers on any questions. The team is awesome at follow ups and products are shipped quick and efficiently. Very very happy with this awesome optometry team!
