For most of our seventy-plus years in business, Dayton Boots outfitted predominantly men, hence, the sizes listed are men's sizes. Dayton Boots legendary quality is the Dayton difference which makes our boots favourites since 1946. There are over 230 steps in hand-crafting a pair of Dayton Boots, a labour intensive process that very few of the world's bootmakers still use today. Dayton Boots are hand-crafted using the same exacting methods in the same Vancouver factory store for nearly 70 years.
Regularly remove all mud, dirt, dust, concrete/drywall dust etc. from your boots (over time these items will dry out the leather and deteriorate stitches and seals). Only use Dayton's OK Oil on your footwear - using other foot care products may damage the leather and void the warranty. Use a Boot Jack and do not remove boots by pushing down on the heels (over time it will separate from the leather upper from the sole).
Follow these boot care tips to ensure your Dayton Boots stay in the best condition, and they'll last you for years. Only use Dayton's OK Oil for your footwear - using other, non-natural foot care products may void the warranty. Dayton Boots are hand-crafted with premium leather, which means breaking in your boots will take a little extra investment of your time and patience.

This company is just a shell of it's former great name.Horrible customer service and now the boots on the shelf are made by Canada west(except with a price tag of two or three times of what they costs retail from Canada west),only the made to order boots are manufactured in house,but much poorer quality than what they use to be.The lifetime warranty is a joke,and it only applies to boots purchased after the new ownership of the company,not boots prior...even than you will get accused of buying the boots used or whatever excuse they will come up with NOT to honor the warranty.Resoling a pair of

The service is absolutely horrific. They encourage the use of e-mail over phone then either don't respond, or take days to respond. It's not like the old days at all. The new ownership is garbage. 5 stars for the boots, 0 stars for the ownership.
I have been wearing Daytons for almost 40 years. Love the boots, but it's a shame about the company. I would buy the company and improve it, dramatically, but I don't think they are in the market to sell.

Patrick was awesome! Attentive, patient and helped me pick the best boot for my foot. I dropped off a pair of rough well used Rebel boots for repair and refurbish (my most favorite boot ever) and decided to treat myself to a pair of beautiful Dayton Parade Boots. I'm set for life now in the shoe department and will highly recommend Dayton to anyone that'll listen! Do yourself a favor and invest in a boot that, once broken in. Will suit you for a lifetime.

This is a review of the company, not the product; were it a review strictly of the product, it would get five stars. I purchased a set of boots from Dayton Boots this year, and am very pleased with them. When I made the purchase, I was told a more favourable price would be available on an additional pair of shoes or boots if purchased within 30 days. This sounded good, but I just didn't have the money. These things are quite pricey, but quality isn't cheap, and Dayton Boots needs to profit. Fast forward to today, I have the money, and went back. I bought service boots from Dayton back in 2011. I was really happy with them; expensive, sure, but great looking and comfortable boots. As much as I tried my best to take care of them, eventually, bad habits crept in and they got neglected. I knew I was due for a new heel and a new sole, but I kept putting it off. Eventually, they got so worn down that I felt like I couldn't even wear them anymore and was ashamed to bring them in!
After they lived in my closet for several months, I decided that I had to have them back on my feet and brought them in for re-soling. I got a little bit of grief

after posting a negative yelp review based on my factual experience with dayton i received the following email from owner .
Mr. Petrucelli,
I have refunded your deposit. You public actions have made it quite apparent that you are unlikely to be satisfied and I think it prudent to not make you a pair of our boots.
Your entitled to your opinions. Some of which I admitted were valid. That said, I have no idea how you wanted me to respond. I was further confused by what you wanted to achieve with your Yelp post.

Went in on my day off to look for boots for riding my motorcycle. Although it was empty the sales staff did not even bother to greet me. I walked around looking at some boots, but when I looked for someone to ask about sizing, I noticed they were greeting a Telus worker who was there to do some work and was busy talking to them. I waited patiently for them to be done and when I walked up to the counter the lady actually walked away from me to the back without even asking me if I needed help. I was taken aback at the unprofessional service. I was left in the store by myself for another 15 minutes

I own Fluevogs, Doc Martins & Bed Stu's, but now I'm seeing the necessity of owning a pair of Dayton shoes. These are shoes & boots made of high quality thick durable leather.
Initially, these shoes were made for police officers and outside workers, but now they're for anyone. The staff is friendly & knowledgable. They will measure your feet and size shoes to fit your feet the best. Right now, there is a four month wait list for

While I probably won't be able to wear their boots due to nature of my job, you can tell when you walk in, that it's great quality and service. Even changing leather soles is a few days, @35, seems reasonable.
A cool western-style yet still a bit heritage, with some comfortable seating in the middle. On the wall, you can read the history of how the original owners founded this store.
Was looking for a half-boot with a zipper but staff explained the concerns of zipper, etc. When you pick up any of their shoes, it's heavy and real leather.
Good-size store too.

I was reminded to review this place since I saw it on Kenneth's review page. My girlfriend and I came in here 3 months ago. She is more of the shoe wh*re than I am, however, I did get something out of the shoe experience. The lady working there was super helpful to the both of us in ensuring that we got a boot that not only fit her personality but also was practical for what she needed for the nature of her job. She also helped me find some fashion boots to go along with my goth dress. I tried on a few pairs, however, I had odd ankles, therefore, fitting into boots is more miss than hit with

These guys are great . I have really wanted a pair of Dayton's since I was a kid ( I am now 66 ) and I finally got a pair of Confederates . They were custom made (Expensive !! , but worth it ) . They guaranteed a perect fit and when they weren't perfect the first time they rebuilt them . Now they fit and look fabulous . The service from Andrew and Nicole was over the top great . I'd make it 5 Stars but sometimes they drop the ball on communication . By that I mean answering the phone seems a bit of a challenge for them .

And have been for years. Dayton Boots on Hastings..a Vancouver institution.
Just bought my first pair of Daytons after wanting them for years and years! I got the Low Rider style in black oil finish. I knew that they were beautifully made and looked super-cool, but I wasn't prepared for how comfortable they were!
Staff will spend a lot of time helping you choose the right style and size.
Oblivious to mud, rain, snow, and dirt, look great, and comfortable!
