The lessons of India are that life is celebrated through festivals, gatherings and family time filled with colour, delicious food, love and generosity. India is a place of deep connection. Living a simple life everyday with practice, nourishing food, rest and time for reflection fills our spirits up.
We tune in to the energy of Durga for strength and protection, Kali for transformation. I have not been able to write much, as the cold I picked up in Delhi has almost dropped me to my knees. I know the biggest lesson is mine: learning to receive love and care from others. We delight in the pride and joy our hosts show in sharing culture through food and service.

Ashtanga Primary Series - A traditional practice as offered by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India, composed of a fixed series of postures linked by vinyasa (flowing, connecting movements). Designed to realign the spine, cleanse and tone the body, and cultivate focus. This strong class includes inversions.
We have a shared membership option available for multi-class passes only. Up to 5 people can share one multi-class pass and use the visits on the pass until they are gone. For example, this could be helpful when spouses, partners, or a parent and child want to share one multi-class pass. Set it up today at the front counter and share your yoga! (Senior, single parent and student rates still available as long as all members qualify for discount.)
If you are new to yoga we recommend you try our Gentle Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Happy Hips or Chair Yoga. Check our schedule for times. Most of our classes are mixed level unless noted that they require experience. Look at our class descriptions - all the classes with blue titles, and many with green titles should be accessible to you.
Many people ask us, "What is a Mysore class?" To give you a bit of background, Mysore is the name of a city in southern India, where Sri K. Pattabhi Jois - one of the founders of the Ashtanga method - began teaching in the 1930s. Mysore is simply a method of learning Ashtanga Yoga step by step. During a Mysore class, you will learn each posture of the Ashtanga primary series in sequence.

Much appreciation for the two teachers whose classes I attended this past week; Stephanie Rose for so seemingly effortlessly leading us to connect back to our inner self and Fiji McAlpine for being willing to brave a snowstorm and lead us in a dynamic class which reminded me how strong we can be in lunge pose! Thank you 🙏🏼💗🙏🏼
