Services
I have been a Notary Public in East Vancouver since 1999, after having been commissioned by the Supreme Court of British Columbia. My office is conveniently located near the intersection of Nanaimo and Hastings Streets, close to the PNE. There is also free parking located a half block away from the office.
Our goal is to provide a quality and personal service experience for all of our clients. Offering a spectrum of legal services, we take pride in the fact that we do our best to meet our clients' needs as promptly and as efficiently as possible. Whatever your legal requirement is, we're committed to the constructive resolution of your legal matter.
Whether you are buying your first home or selling your tenth, there is always the legal process to go through. I will walk you through the real estate transaction process in Lower Mainland, to ensure you understand how everything comes together, and to answer all your questions as the transaction develops.
I can provide assistance with your will planning in Lower Mainland, including your estate. Whether you are financially secure, or struggle to make ends meet, I believe that planning for the future is important for all individuals. The purpose of a will is to clearly define your wishes as to the distribution of your estate upon your death, and to hopefully avoid any misconceptions or ambiguity as to your intentions.
A power of attorney is an important document to consider, in that it will allow a representative of your choosing (called your "attorney") to attend to making financial decisions on your behalf when you may not be in a position to do so yourself. This document will allow your attorney to deal with such matters as real estate transactions, bank account matters, income tax and/or pension issues.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness
I had asked for help with the small task to change a title of a business after I paid off the mortgage. I dropped off the papers and they said they'd get right to it. 6 months later, I called and they said, 'yes, it's on our desk right now'. 6 months later, I decided to just give up on them. It's now been 1.5 years and no response.

She held back funds of my house sale without cause. After countless requests, including proof and nothing has been provided. No communication, no effort what-so-ever. Repeat actions like this demonstrates a questionable or crooked operator. After posting my review, she has finally returned my money. What a sloppy hasbin.. This is an expensive way of doing business Shirley. How about TAKING LESS & charging more and paying your employees more so your operations are correct?

Shirley has more work than she can handle. She dropped the ball on a mortgage refinance, which caused us significant problems when we tried to sell the same property 2 months later. Shirley stopped responding to emails, phone calls and voice messages. It was only when I threatened to report her to the Notary society that we got some action from her.

We used Shirley as the notary public for the purchase of our property.
- Shirley has more business than she could handle, which translated into delay in her communications and delay in the distribution of funds. We had to send her 2 or 3 email messages before she would respond. We sometimes had to escalate it to our real estate agent in order for Shirley to respond.
- The payments to our strata that Shirley collected from us before closing were still not sent to the strata 2 weeks after closing, which would result in late fees from our strata. The final closing package and statement of

I have seen Ms. Manfron twice, and received excellent service both times. I really couldn't have been happier. She provided me with valuable advice and guidance that went above and beyond simple transactions. She was kind and personable as well, and empathised with my challenges.
I will be exclusively using Ms. Manfron in the future, and recommending her unreservedly.
