I own a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses which I did not buy at Spectus Eyewear. Anyway a screw holding one of the arms fell out and I needed a new one. Shadi, one of the saleswomen, at the store found a replacement screw and with infinite patience fixed my glasses. I was not charged and was impressed with the customer service.

I decided to come back recently because my Lindberg eyeglasses needed new lenses which were bought here. I’ve bought a few pairs of glasses over the years. Helena really took care of me, and I am definitely purchasing my next of Lindberg Sunglasses here as well. I don’t know the other staff well but Helena is the store manager and she really knows her stuff, and is also very warm in personality without adding any pressure to purchase.

Wonderful eyeglass store. The people here are friendly and supportive and their collection of frames is beautifully curated. I have bought two complete pairs of glasses (frames and lenses here) and have also had the lenses in one of my frames replaced. The work is always done with care and the turn around times are also impressive. I get SO many compliments on my frames and my newest lenses are transition lenses, which I have found to be a gamechanger for my eyes.
I have also had my eyes examined here twice and have found the optometrists to be caring and responsive.

Irina recently fit me into my first pair of progressive lenses in a beautiful lightweight Lindberg frame that fits my small face. She was super helpful to find just the right frame/colour combo and help me navigate the new world of progressive lenses. My new progressives were extremely easy to get used to and I'm thrilled with them - and my improved vision.
They go above and beyond to get things right! I trust the quality of their work and would definitely come here again.

Used to be good but had a terrible experience. Came back here because my original purchase was here and i had two frames for new lenses based on a new prescription. I ordered both but was cut short by the sales agent who as soon as i paid my deposit went to help somebody else and told me she would send the invoice. The next day i received the invoice and noticed i misunderstood the price of the lenses for the sunglasses and requested they cancel this part of the order which they did given that it hadn’t been sent to the manufacturer. Then i asked for an updated invoice so i wouldn’t be charged

Irina the sales lady really needs proper etiquette on being professional, personable and polite when it comes to regardless whether it's a in person interaction or over the phone inquiry. I have purchased 4 pairs of Lindberg's at over a $1000 dollars each, she should know that prescription eye information pertaining to myself is actually LEGAL for me inquire information about.
Most disappointing customer service I have ever experienced, as a customer we deserve the right to inquire about quotes, models, and decide later or pay at the moment especially when we are purchasing glasses over

This place is an absolute find. It's nestled in between two of my go-to shops in Kits - Kitsilano Wine Cellar and Gravity Pope. So now I have 3rd. I'd been looking for new lenses for the last year and in fact considering the jump into transitionals as I was time of constantly changing from drivers to readers. I'd probably been in at least 2 x's before actually pulling the trigger on some spectacular (no pun intended) Face a Face frames and each time was greeted by an exceptional sales person - Helena. Her sense of style and honesty brought forth the PERFECT frame for me

Spectus Eyewear is my go to place to purchase frames and lenses. I cannot say more about the amazing service and the really great people who work there. Helena has incredible knowledge and expertise at finding the best frames for my face. I upgraded my lenses only this time because I continue to this day to receive compliments on the frames purchased two years ago! Todd, the technician, brought my frames back to like new condition while cutting the lenses to fit. I was told years ago to visit Spectus Eyewear for my glasses and now I won't go anywhere else. Super happy customer!

I have bought 3 pairs of glasses from spectus over the years and each experience has been wonderful! The staff are incredibly helpful every step of the way. With expertise in picking styles (and honesty I’m telling me when things don’t look great, no matter how expensive), doing eye tests and maintenance, these people are excellent! Spectus is very invested in making sure you get exactly what you want. On occasion I have had to have major adjustments made and they happily oblige all of my questions and needs. I will certainly recommend Spectus to anyone !!

I've been shopping at Spectus for close to 20 years and always get great service. Everyone is willing to help, and will work tirelessly to find the right prescription and the right frames to suit your style. Recently I was looking for prescription sunglasses that were not available in the store - Helena happily ordered in 4 different styles which arrived in days, then she organized the correct lenses and less than two weeks later, I have a great pair of glasses. I've also worked with Irina (and others) on multiple occasions to get everyday lenses and have been extremely happy each time. I ONLY

Pretty smooth experience. I had to urgently buy a pair of sunglasses with prescription because of my trip to South America, but I could not wait a full week to pick them up. So I stopped at Spectus by accident and the seller told me that I could have my sunglasses with prescription ready within few days... probably 2 days or so... pretty fast. So I ended up buying with them. The experience was pretty good, the seller was very helpful. They are a bit more expensive than some other stores, but, at least for me, that's the price I paid for the speed. The glasses was ready on time. All good. The

Maybe it's ageism or classism. I'm uncertain but I stood around clearly interested in the products for a good ten minutes, and nobody even acknowledged my being there, let alone offering to help. It wasn't because they were overwhelmed with business either; people were definitely standing vacantly behind the desk. They had some nice frames, but who cares if I don't get any assistance? A google image search is free, convenient and about as useful as this shop was to me.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 12 and have very particular tastes regarding style and quality. Certainly frames have greatly improved in recent years, but finding something distinctive is always a challenge. Spectus has a great selection of uniquely stylish frames. Staff were all very helpful and I am very satisfied with my purchase. I went with titanium frames from Bevel. They're expensive, but high quality and exactly what I was looking for.

I can't say I would ever come back. I wanted to purchase prescription eye wear sunglasses knowing exactly what brand and style I wanted, being an easy customer! Checked this store out because it's in my neighborhood. Walked in with my man, not addressed, no hello.... That's fine, maybe they are busy. Started shopping and found what I wanted in about 2mins. Big store with great selection, lots to choose from. I think I was an easy sale because I knew exactly what I wanted and didn't really need much help. I was pleased to see that the frames were only about $150. So off I went

I went in for a lens replacement for my sunglasses and received great service and was quoted $100 for the replacement. I was told that I would pay half at that time then the other half when the lenses came in.
Upon returning my experience was pretty terrible on all fronts:
- the person helping me with the replacement seemed terribly unhappy. She took my glasses said "ok", and disappeared into the back without any communication about how long it would be or if I should come back later
- I left for a bit and then returned, and asked the woman at the front about my sunglasses. She said

I can only comment on first impressions. The store looks nice and spacious. Looks like they have a nice selection. What I found strange was that there was a "no cell phone" and "no photos" policy. This will be my first time wearing glasses, so maybe this is common, however this was the first place I've been to with such a policy. As a mom sneaking out while baby was napping and father in law was babysitting, I was hoping to make the most of my short time by trying out all the different styles and yes, possibly taking pics of ones I liked to show my husband and mom for feedback

Happy to report I finally received my new glasses today. Apparently it was a glitch on the part of the lens makers in Montreal that caused the delay. I am satisfied with the craftsmanship in the end and the staff was grateful for my patience.
I was frustrated for 3 weeks but it's amazing how a great pair of glasses and a gracious staff member can transform a negative experience into a positive ending.

I visited this store twice and have yet to purchase a pair of glasses (on a tight budget at the moment) but the staff have always treated me so well from the minute I walk in until the second I leave. They have such a great selection and very hard to find brands.
Very attentive and informative and concerned with finding the right fit and match for my face not just looking to sell me the most expensive frames. I always feel comfortable coming here.
I find it sad that yelp has filtered so many of their amazing reviews and posted non sense ones that are probably hurting their business. Dont worry
