My name is Diane Johnston. I have lived in Port Perry for over 25 years, raised my family here and worked here. During these 25 years I have always been looking for the fitness program that would work for me. I have tried aerobics, power walking, gyms, Pilates and yoga. The only thing that stuck was yoga.
I found myself at a studio 3 maybe even 4 times in a week and loving it. Thought to self, if I like this so much why not do this myself and bring some people along for the ride? So there began Your Yoga Port Perry's journey, yoga teacher training and the construction of a dedicated yoga space at my home.

Flow Yoga is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. Commonly referred to as "flow" yoga, it is sometimes confused with "power yoga". Our classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike.
The opposite would be "fixed forms" such as Bikram Yoga, which features the same 26 postures in every class, or Ashtanga which has the same sequence every time.A hallmark of Flow Yoga classes is the variation in sequence from class to class. The variable nature of Flow Yoga helps to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if you are always doing the same thing every day.
