Developed by its founder, Joseph H. Pilates in the early 20th century, Pilates is a unique and comprehensive fitness program. Its origins and influences lie in the various disciplines of yoga, dance, gymnastics, martial arts and weight training.

Our Pilates Teacher Training program is run under the umbrella of Balanced Body Education, an internationally-recognized and highly regarded Pilates equipment and education company based in Sacramento, CA. Our program is module-based - take each or all of the modules in the way that suits you best: all in one year, or spread out over 1, 2 or more years if it works better for your lifestyle or learning-style!

This is the place I've been looking for years to practice Pilates! I've been training extensively in Europe for several years, and after moving to Vancouver I tested several studios in order to find the proper place for my practice. I know it takes many years of teaching and own practice to become a skilled instructor, you don't become a good one overnight, and here are more people like this! I arrived at Meridian pilates three years ago as a complete beginner. After one month, I started to regain mobility in areas that I thought were "stuck" forever. I take two classes a week and my flexibility, mobility and strength continue to improve each week. The studio is small with a welcoming friendly vibe, the instructors are the best, and the clients are all friendly. I highly recommend Meridian to everyone of all fitness levels.

I was living on cortisone shots to control pain until I visited Meridian Pilates. In a few sessions they identified the source of the pain and proceeded to work with me on developing the necessary strength to align my body and get the muscles working the way they should. Meridian rescued me! The instructors are a delight to work with.

I’ve been to four different Pilates studios over the past 18 years, but I don’t feel that I ever really knew what Pilates actually is until I found Meridian several years ago on the advice of a friend. I came to Meridian with bad, chronic lower back issues which after two private sessions were almost completely resolved - a couple more weeks in group classes and my pains were gone, never to return! Highly recommend this studio. The instructors there are very knowledgeable and professional.
I started going there in 2014 with a slipped disc issue that no Physio, kinesiologist, chiropractor and other specialist could help me. Constant pain that I could not even sit for 10 minutes. With careful instructions, I was given exercises and shown how to do them properly. I am doing things like hiking, swimming and other activities that I never thought I could imagine being able to ever do again.
I continue to go on a regular basis. I am so thankful to have such a great group of instructors.

This is a top-tier studio. I have worked with a number of the instructors -- they are superior in their knowledge and so insightful about individual bodies. My general fitness and resilience have increased enormously; I also got expert help in recovering from a broken arm. The classes are challenging but relaxing, and fun! The studio is a happy and positive place. It is also spotless, and the office managers are on top of their game. I love going here.
