Inhabit Pilates & Movement
We humans have a lot to reckon with. Our bodies are not made to live in our current set up of sitting, standing, some walking, little running, and even our nature deficit. Inhabit takes your body seriously. Sometimes not moving starts with a toe that hurts, a knee that is losing range, a neck that is tight, or an old injury.

At any age, these little issues can be the thing that prevents you from moving as well as you want and doing the things you want to do. Playing with your kids, doing your sport, taking that run, that's where life happens and we want to get you doing that confidently. In a private session, you have our undivided attention.
Services
Our students return year after year and have seen the wonderful benefits of long-term practice come to life. Inhabit offers the full range of pilates equipment, a mat class area, space for private lessons in a light-filled room. We have a wide and varied class schedule and a down-to-earth approach with a positive, inspired team of teachers.
Maybe you want to really zero in on working through some health setbacks that have got you feeling like you aren't moving how you want to be moving, or you are in a period in your life where you feel you need personal attention. Private lessons can be just the ticket to allow you the space and attention to move forward - even with long standing issues.
The Franklin Method teaches dynamic alignment and how to move your body with maximum efficiency to keep your body youthful and energized. Your whole body is part of a symphony of coordinated movement. In a sense, your posture is reinvented at every instant. In every moment, the ideal combination of limbs, joints, gravity, moving parts, connective tissue, and muscle must be found and directed by your brain and nervous system.
Conveniently located at Christie and Dupont, on the south side of Dupont, we are a walk or short bus ride away from Christie station. When entering the space, please put on your mask before coming in and go up the stairs through to the end of the hallway. Our studio door is on the right at the end of the hallway.
We intentionally keep our classes small so we're always able At this point all our mat classes are online. Enjoy the convenience and the community online until then, and we'll get through this together in style and in fine form. For more information on our online fees go to our fee page and for FAQ's about in person an online classes go here.

I started online work with Andy a year ago for help with indigestion and to help build my abdominal strength after a stomach operation. The results have been transformative. My symptoms have ceased and the breath work has become a pillar beyond our sessions. Andy is impressively adept at being able to run the sessions online. Her vast experience shines through as she can pick up small nuances in your body through the camera, and her creative explanations makes it easy for you to understand the subtle movements needed for each exercise. Andy is thorough in her approach, understanding your needs

I have been working with Andy for nearly 6 months, mostly online since the start of Covid. I was cynical at first about working remotely, but Andy's ability to accurately identify what is going on with my body over Zoom blows my mind. She has a wonderful way of talking me through the exercises in a way that just makes sense. I feel more connected with my body than ever, my movement is more fluid and pain at an all time low. I look forward to my sessions every week.

Andy is really amazing. Going for a class with her is a real treat and the first time in my life I’ve teally enjoyed exercise. I feel like she has completely changed the way my body moves and this was really important to me after having a child and despite losing the baby weight just feeling much less energetic or good about myself. My core feels like me again. She is also really good at pacing things according to your mood (or level of sleep deprivation if you’re a new parent). I cannot imagine my week without this now. Highly recommended.

I work from home on my laptop for hours every single day, sometimes from the sofa (ouch!). I had the pleasure to work for a few months with Andy and the results are outstanding. Not only has my posture improved, but my breathing style has completely changed. I never realised I was quite a shallow breather. She taught me easy exercises I can do also by myself to increase strength in my abdomen. GAME CHANGER!
I can't wait to go back to London to keep working with her.
I highly recommend Andy to anyone improving their lives, starting from their back! Andy thank you ever so much, you're an extremely

Following a back injury last year, I started individual sessions with Andy. I had previously had very poor mobility in my back, coupled with lower back pain, from years of poor posture at work and too many hours hunched over a laptop writing my PhD. The memory of the pain was so bad that I could no longer sit at my desk anymore. My back problems started to affect other areas of my life, in particular stopping me from running, playing with my kids, sitting comfortably on the sofa, all sorts.
Fast forward a year and my pain has gone. I can sit at my desk, I can run without any pain, I can sit on

I have been seeing Andy primarily concerning very complex ongoing shoulder issues. I started seeing Andy since the effectiveness of hospital physio had plateaued out. We have done mainly neurokinetic shoulder work and some core work. While there is some way to go, working with Andy has improved matters no end. She is warm, professional and knows her stuff. She is also very good at explaining what is going on , what she is doing and why (and you can have a laugh with her too). She often provides helpful videos and support in supporting you to do work at home. I wouldn't still be with her if this

Andy is an excellent Pilates teacher. She provides so much more than just the work on the abdominal muscles that you would expect. She looks at the whole body to identify where the relationships between the muscles are weak or non-existent, causing others to become overworked.
Andy’s approach has really improved my posture and helped me counteract the worst of my habits: long hours at the keyboard, hunching over the handle bars of my bike, etc. Little changes instigated by her have made a tangible difference to my running, helping keep me injury-free.
An hour a week with Andy is a breath of

I've been seeing Andy for private pilates sessions for over two years. I had previously been to some larger pilates classes but found them pretty unsatisfactory in terms of ensuring that my form and practice were being conducted properly. I have been suffering for a long time with lower back issues which were being made worse by some bad habits both in terms of posture and some of the other training I was doing. Andy was very focused on getting to the root causes of my pain and lack of freedom of mobility, and working through these with a blend of classic pilates and NKT practises. She is also

I have been doing pilates on and off for 14 years and 2 1/2 years ago took the decision to do 1:1 sessions to try and prolong my hockey-playing days, which is when I found Andy. She is certainly the best pilates instructor I have come across and it's like she has x-ray vision with her ability to spot every tiny movement your body is doing and correct it if needed. She explains everything thoroughly with easily relatable ways of getting into each movement and has an incredible understanding of the human body. Andy is an awesome person, making every lesson fun and is also open to adapt any lesson

Andy's classes are such a pleasure to attend. So attentive to my individual needs, her classes the restotive and relaxing at the same time. I've been attending Andy's classes for a few years, I'm now currently going to her post-natal classes - which aside from helping realign and strengthen my body, is such a treat during the week to be in such a relaxing environment for an hour. Even the baby relaxes during the class! Highly recommended for regular and post-natal classes.
