Services
Anna's love for teaching, in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, and spark for connecting with people are the heart and soul of North Movement Studio. She knows that one size does not fit all and loves working with people to discover how they can feel better in their bodies, and better in their lives.
When you join a Live Stream Class, you get to workout with me! Follow along and listen to my cues as we move, sweat, and laugh together. Short on time, but love a good Pilates burn? These Express Live Stream Classes range from 10 - 25 mins. Unlimited access to all Live Stream Classes, Express Live Stream Classes, Screen Sharing Classes and Specialty Classes.
A one-on-one session is a great place to start if you're new to Pilates or online fitness. Get familiar with our teaching style and test out your technology and at-home set up. Get all your questions answered and start your first class feeling super confident! Book in and get specific feedback on form form, ask alignment questions and get personalized pointers and modification so that you get the most out of every workout.
As restrictions and guidelines adjust, so will the class offerings. Be sure to stay tuned on Facebook and Instagram for updates. You can also register for email updates above. Book a private session for yourself to focus on form and alignment and get undivided attention from our skilled instructors on the mat or on our Pilates reformer.
I've been in the fitness industry for over 18 years, and am incredibly passionate about Pilates as a movement practice and as an integral key to experiencing life to its fullest. Although I (obviously) love fitness and moving my body - enough to make it my life's work- this wasn't always the case.

Anna is an excellent instructor. Having taught Pilates for 18 years, she's knowledgeable, and is able to modify to any skill level. Anna has a great sense of humour which makes her classes fun. I love her park Pilates classes on Wednesday night. They're challenging, you get a great workout, yet feel like you've just hung out with your friends for an hour!

I’ve been attending North for 2 years. I took a chance that pilates would help my lower back issues. I would throw my back out and be immobile for days. Thank you Anna, I can honestly say it’s been transforming. It’s so easy to use the platform , do it on your time and tons of variety/class length options. No need to watch your screen- Anna is a master at talking you through all of the moves!

I've been attending Anna's Mens' "Power" Class for 4+ years, in the studio, now online and, soon, hopefully in the park.. It's the only real workout I get, one hour a week, and I'm in decent shape for the first time in a long time. Even my wife, who encouraged me to start, can't believe I stuck with it. Good mix of strength and flexibility, Anna keeps it "interesting" and it's a great group of guys.

Loving Anna Harris’s virtual and screen sharing Pilates classes! She has 18 yrs of experience and is a wonderful teacher who continues to teach all levels with skill, knowledge and humor. She provides modifications and progressions so everyone gets the workout they need.

North has been my favourite fitness community in Toronto (and now working out from home with North@Home!)
I've been seeing Anna and team for nearly a decade now -- and I always feel stronger, healthier and more centred after every class.
The instruction is amazing -- well paced, a good focus on technique, and the classes always have variety so it's always a good challenge. There is no squeaking by with North -- and I consistently have a great workout (and a few laughs!). Doing it from my basement is NOT easier and the set up is super simple, and been a lifeline during this pandemic!!

I’ve known Anna for almost a decade and have loved taking her classes over the years, whether it was Pilates, an equipment class or outdoor boot camp. North Movement is not only an amazing Pilates studio but it is a community full of information-sharing, motivation, friendship and respect.  In true Anna fashion, she’s adapted to our new way of life and has brought the safe, comforting and supportive environment she created in person, online, through North At Home.  Her classes, in person or online, are informative, encouraging, sweat-inducing and a great break from our current pandemic

I've been coming to the Studio for over a year now, and am very happy with the classes there. Anna always comes up with new exercises and it's never boring! In fact, the more I come, the harder it seems to get!
I'm learning to use the right muscles and my back (which used to bother me) is really enjoying the stretching and the workouts. I try coming 2-3 times a week to make sure my spine and my whole body feels stretched, and strong! Love the studio, and love Anna and Vanessa!

I love this studio! Anna is just the best at what she does. I followed her from other studios she has taught at and I'm glad she finally has her own space. Anna is so well-spoken in her instruction and she's incredibly passionate about the progress of her students. The classes are challenging but fun and I have felt and seen a lot of improvement in my body by adding Pilates to my gym routine. Check it out!
