I attended Osgoode Hall Law School of York University and graduated with honours in 1979. I practiced initially with a firm in Hamilton, but returned to Toronto to establish my own firm in October of 1982. I began as a sole practitioner in the Victoria Park and Steeles area and later in the Sheppard and Victoria Park area, where I remained for a number of years.
In 1990, I teamed up with a friend and colleague from law school, Charles Jones, and established a law office in the same area, on Consumers Road, under the name of Semple, Jones. In 1995 I took a leave of absence from the practice of law in order to pursue other interests. I had developed a keen interest in computer technology, having begun to use it more and more in my practice, and I attended the Institute for Computer Studies in Toronto.

I have only posted one star in order to place this review. In my dealings with Mr. Semple, I was bullied, coerced, and treated very poorly. I find it amazing that Mr. Semple is allowed to practice law using Draconian methods. Perhaps more people should contact the Law Society of Upper Canada to file a formal complaint if they feel that they were mistreated.

So after collecting our $3000.00 retainer and taking our case Mr Semple shows up to court one day. Using the paperwork I filed prior to retaining him. He overcharges us $1600. 00 for an hr in court plus travel costs. Then we spend endless emails and voicemails wasting time trying to take our case to next level for Mr Semple to claim now he's not sure he can represent us?! What a waste of our hard earned money. A constant disappointment. I believe he's out for the quick money. Court is stressful enough. Save yourself the extra headache and hire someone who actually cares to see u get what you want
