If you would like to book a reservation or breakfast/lunch or dinner take-out please call us at 403-931-3611.

Before you get in the car and arrive hangry (hungry + angry), call us first and make sure we have a spot for you. Make a reservation. After all, we've been on the TV show You Gotta Eat Here. We got fans, yo. Are you on Facebook?

Coming to PVB is like visiting a friend in an old country house. I bought a historic house and transformed it into a 25-seat restaurant with two commercial kitchens. Even with these renovations, the house hasn't lost its charm. Aside from taking reservations to eat in PVB, we also accept bookings for special events, like birthdays, anniversaries, romantic dinners, corporate functions, and large family events.
We get quite a few international travellers stopping by based on recommendations from their friends. We're a favourite rest-stop for cyclists, trail riders and motorcyclists along Highways 22 and 22X. Reviews: If you have a positive experience at PVB, help spread the love by telling your friends and family.
If you didn't make a reservation and are thinking of popping by, just give us a call first to make sure we're open. When you arrive, tell us you have a reservation (if you do), and then enjoy your meal. If you have a great time, tell people about it online or in person. If you have a suggestion or comment about your experience, please talk to us when you're there.
If you are booking a reservation for 6 people or more, a 15% gratuity will be added to the bill. Once you sign up you'll get a reservation confirmation. Why do you need a reservation? We can sometimes be pretty busy on weekend nights, as our Weekend Dinner Features are popular. Our kitchen is small and we create home-cooked fabulous-ity (fab-u-law-sit-ee) a few plates at a time.

We have a reservation booked for today at 11am (Friday, January 7). We arrived at 10:50am (supposedly the place is open from 9am). There are 3 separate entrances, all were locked, lights off etc. We tried to call and there was no answer and the mail box is full. Would really like to support a small business during covid but unfortunately it seems impossible to support these guys. It looks like someone else has had the exact same experience. Currently driving home with a hungry toddler - not fun.

Online reservation confirmed at 1438h for Sat 1900h. Second confirmation sent via text at 1800h. Arrived at location at 1850h. Location was closed. Called provided number, sent to voice mail. Today we get a very rude response. Very poor customer service. Do not recommend to anyone if their reaction is extreme defensiveness without first trying to understand the situation. Unfortunate as we try to support local small businesses.

Great place, vibe is exceptional.
Great food takes time, they also have great selection of craft beer. I highly recommend you this place. Before you visit ,you should call and reserve a table. They also sell great ice cream and they have lactose free options as well as some great veggie sandwiches.

Went for lunch and sat on the patio that is set up for physical distancing. Place was busy. Food was very good. Had the turkey dish and enjoyed it. Portion size excellent.

It's a summer friday afternoon (today ) 3:30 pm 33 degrees and sunny after a bike ride. Looking forward to an ice cream. Sign says open - hours sign says open - door locked - no-one around - Sign says ring for attention. We rang and waited and rang and waited... and left.
If you cant be bothered to staff on a summer afternoon dont advertise or put a sign up saying open.
DO NOT go here expecting service. Bragg Creek is a better bet.

Wonderful restaurant for a Sunday drive!! Beautiful character home converted to a charming dining room and porch sitting. Fantastically friendly and efficient staff. Roast turkey was fabulous for those that need turkey more than twice a year!! Only itty bitty issue was that there was only the one choice for the evening entree, which is fine as long as you know that when you plan your supper trip. Definitely recommended!!

UPDATE- March 14, 2020: returned to View & Brew and had the beef tenderloin meal again and it was the same delicious food. We made the trip to Calgary just to eat here again. The owner/chef is very friendly and amazing! I have attached updated photos.
OLD REVIEW:Took a trip to Calgary just to try the food as I had seen the episode on you gotta eat here. Went to the restaurant three times, lunch, dinner and dinner the next day. If I could provide more than a 5 star rating I would!
THE PLACE: Very nice, quiet, clean, small and cute restaurant.
THE FOOD: homemade and heavenly! Great portion and

A delicious late lunch (2:45!)after a hike. We enjoyed sitting on the deck under an umbrella on a hot day, sipping cold ones and chowing down on spectacular sandwiches, served with a spinach salad or soup or pasta salad. Then we tried dessert, and really enjoyed the 'O'Henry Bar', full of peanuts and topped with chocolate and the chocolate coke cake with caramel and chocolate sauce and ice cream. Life is good!

Discovered the View & Brew through Bill Corbett’s ‘Day Trips From Calgary’ after hiking at the nearby Cross Conservatory.
It was a fantastic experience! Past what appears to be a handful of residences is this delightful little bistro.
I highly recommend the Meatloaf Sandwich!
Will certainly return for breakfast.
