Dr. Pogoda was born and raised in St. Catharines and attended the University of Western Ontario for two years of undergraduate studies before being accepted to the Faculty of Dentistry at Western. Upon graduation in 1982, he completed a one year dental internship at the Hamilton General Hospital. Since 1983, Dr. Pogoda has been providing dental care for his patients at Centre Mall Dental.
Carol obtained her designation as a Dental Hygienist in 1990, from Georgian College in Orillia. She has been a part of the Centre Mall Dental time as a Dental Hygienist since her graduation over 28 years ago. With a wealth of experience in our community, Carol provides excellent care for her patients, ensuring their dental hygiene needs are met.
Centre Mall Dental is your dentist in Hamilton who provides dental care for the whole family, including children, teens, adults and seniors. Our dental services in Hamilton include dental cleanings, dental examinations, tooth restoration and cosmetic dentistry. We do offer Nitrous Oxide Sedation! At Centre Mall Dental, we recommend dental exams and dental cleanings twice a year for both children and adults.
Everyone from babies to seniors should see a dentist on a regular basis. As your family dentist can provide a comprehensive list of services to members of the whole family. With our state-of-the-art equipment and experienced dentists, we're able to help our patients maintain healthy teeth and gums throughout their lifetime.
One important service offered is a dental exam with digital dental x-rays. It is generally recommended to have cleanings and exams at least twice a year for most adults and children. X-rays are generally done at your initial exam, and as indicated during your checkup appointments. At our office we use digital x-rays to provide high quality images with minimal radiation exposure.

The dentist himself was beyond nice. However, the lady that took my X-ray was so rude and Ruff…she chipped my bottom tooth trying to force the piece into my mouth for the X-ray as I told her many times I was in serious pain and couldn’t exactly open my mouth to the extent she wanted. So I cancelled my further appointment and went elsewhere

I have been to a lot of dentist in my life. Ever since I was young I have had horrible experiences with dentist. If they weren't down right abrasive, they shamed me for he crowding with my teeth. For this reason I have been terrified to go to the dentist. I have general anxiety add dental anxiety on top of that and it makes for a very chaotic feeling when it comes to getting work done. First things Dr Nafie asked me was, what makes me anxious? I said explained everything and she said that she was sorry that I have had these experiences. I came to this dentist based on it's many positive reviews, and I was not disappointed. Going to the dentist isn't really an enjoyable experience but the staff makes it much more pleasant. The receptionists were friendly and polite. Dr. Pogoda was exceptional, from his beside manner to his quick and relatively pain-free cleaning. The dental hygienist was also extremely friendly and they both made conversation with me throughout the entire experience, making me feel much more comfortable. I would highly recommend this dentist office!
